The Crossover is a pleasure to play.
It does the job for me. Finally bought one of these expensive Marine Band based models but it seems worth it. You dont need this if you are just a Dylan in and out player, no shame in that and worked for Dylan and his fans, but if you want triple bends and double bends effortlessly, you will find this harp more receptive even as a beginner. So get a C if you feel you can afford it and have at it. You usually just get what you pay for in the harmonica world. Warning though, if you get one of these, you will be spoiled for life. I now only have one but as my other harps become old and cranky, they are in danger of being replaced by Crossovers and, maybe, Rockets, equally expensive but perhaps, due to their plastic comb, slightly more durable and maybe more abusable. The bambo comb in the Crossover may or may not stand the test of time but I recommend you buy just one and you will be pleased when you give it all you got.

They do have a great screaming sound
I have blown out the reeds on these harps.I lot of money that does not last that long, for me anyway.Maybe I just blow to hard with the rock bands I play with. They do have a great screaming sound. The last 3 I bought didn't last a year.Just bought 3 more Special 20s,they seam to last longer.I will get more of the Crossover no dought.

The best!
I have played most of the well known harp brands and models and the Crossover is my favorite. I mainly play classic rock, blues and love to solo on the harp. The Crossover is little pricey compared to the Special 20 or a Lee Oscar, but it is just so nice to play. The tone is just wonderful and it bends with ease. Very smooth to play. The bamboo combs do not swell the way the wooden Marine Band combs can after too much playing. I tend to play hard on these poor little instruments with lots of bending and spit flying! I was hoping the Crossover may last longer than the other harps but it seems to be about the same as far as how much use you can get out of it before reeds start to go bad on you. I now have a Crossover in nearly every key. It is simply the best. Here's my rig - A Crossover harp into a Green Bullet mic. Run that through a delay pedal with a slapback delay. (Set the delay for no feedback and a short delay time) I've played many gigs with this setup. It rocks!
