These are really nice safety glasses. I use them when I work early mornings and get off at mid-day. The glasses are very durable, extremely scratch resistant and comfortable. The transition from dark to light is seamless. The only small detail is how dark the lenses get; I would like them to be a little darker when in bright sunlight and they will not transition from light to dark while behind a windshield of a car. The case they come in is better than most expensive sunglass cases. The rubber covering over the ears fit great. Overall, these are some of the best, if not the best safety glasses I have ever used.

These glasses held up very well after wearing them for a week of welding and grinding. They had a few impacts of debris while grinding and there is no major scratches or divits from debris. I like the fact that you can manipulate the nose pieces to adjust them to your face, however I wish i was better at doing it, kinda paranoid of breaking the nose piece. They change from light to dark pretty quickly as stated and provide good relief from bright sun, and as said takes a couple of minutes to change back. They have a caramel almost color when not dark grey and allow for good visiblilty in door. I am definately happy with the purchase as of a week in use... Definatelty great for riding motorcyle and working where safety glasses are required, chromatic feature assures you can safely see, Z87.1 rated for work during the day, you don't have to take them off unless workplace requires completely clear, may have an issue...

I looked for these glasses in the winter when it would be dark in the morning riding my motorcycle to work and light when I came back. I like to wear protective lenses with my helmet for various reasons, but I figured it would be nice to get some transitioning ones so I wouldn't have to ride back in the light of day with clear lenses (or take an extra pair so as to have both clear and tinted).These do exactly what I needed them to do and stay clear in the dark and become tinted in the light. They don't get super dark, but it's definitely an improvement from clear for daytime riding. They're ergonomic and stylish as well.

I guess I just feel ripped off. I can buy a pair a safety glasses anywhere for about 10 bucks. What would have made these worth what I paid for them (~$40) is the transition lenses which should get dark outside in direct sunlight, but I don't notice any darkening, no transition at all in response to sunlight. I don't want this to seem subjective so I am conducting a scientific experiment. I've have the left lens wrapped in aluminum foil and have placed the glasses out in the sun while I'm writing this. It's about 5 min now and............. OK, I can actually distinguish a slight difference, but I actually had to go to that length to see it. Bottom line if your expecting a noticeable transition from light to dark these glasses are not for you. I would say they not worth much as transition lenses. I only gave them one star because yes, I do feel ripped off, while they are a reasonably decent pair of safety glasses, as such they should be priced about 10 to 15 bucks, not 40. Buyer beware!

Nice glasses if you like clear.. the transition was hardly noticeable. Not worth the money is my opinion. To Boot I had to pay shipping to the house and then again back to them for a refund.

If you are considering spending the bit extra on some working glasses, regardless of whether you work outdoors or not (for the transitional feature), do so, you won't regret it. I've only had these glasses for a few weeks now, but they are extremely sturdy and even more comfortable. I wear them about 8 hours a day and can't tell much difference between the feel of these and my reading glasses, beyond the obvious weight inherent in safety glasses. Also, they are great for using while riding my motorcycle (no UV glass to worry about), as they almost never fog up like my visor usually does. I can't speak to the durability of the glasses as of yet, but they feel very sturdy and I expect them to last at least enough time to qualify for the few extra bucks they cost.
