Amazing value!
These headlight mounts are really nice! They have a matte black satin smooth finish that is impressive for the price. The aluminum is very nicely machined, no sharp edges and the quality is remarkable. The plastic sleeves feel very cheap, but they are hiding under the brackets and do perform the job they're designed for...mostly. I have 39mm fork tubes, and found the sleeves to be slightly undersized, leaving a gap between the outside diameter of the sleeve and the bracket. I cranked the bolts all the way down, but still had a gap and the brackets were loose. I fixed that with a piece of very thin craft store vinyl cut to fit inside each plastic sleeve half. That made up the difference (perhaps 1/64th inch) and I had plenty of clamping force to work with after that. Aside from that tiny fitment nuisance, I find these SMT MOTO headlight mounting brackets awesome for the price!

seems ok for the cost
I had to rebuild forks anyway so install not a issue but you will need to remove forks from trees.Looks good on gl1100 conversion to standard no fairing , the arms are long enough to get birds nestback into headlight .recomend for bobber or other if on a budget or not, the quality seems ok for my needs.

Very nice for the Price!
These brackets worked well and look great. The chrome finish is nice. They are aluminum, but you will see a little copper color on the machined area that clamps the tube. It’s not visible once installed. That’s is because chrome plating is a three step process. Copper, nickel and then chrome. The included spacers are just a little loose on 39 MM fork tubes. What I did was put the spacers on the fork tube, then carefully wrap the spacers with two single layers of electrical tape. Then they tightened down perfectly.

A well made item
Headlamp mounting on mobile.A good solid and wel thought out item the adapter sleeves work well one size fitting inside the other giving a greater range of sizes

Nice finish, did the job...poor design.
These did the job, and for the price it's hard to complain. Design wise...the pinch bolts being on the inside may look nice, but are an absolute PILA to get to once installed. Too much messing about with fitting the headlight to get the correct position, take the headlight out to tighten the pinch bolts, then fit the headlight again and hope nothing moved.Function before fashion should always be considered when designing parts like these.

Quality is nice.. But the plastic sleeves they give you are slightly too thin for a 35mm fork (cb750).. With the pinch bolts tighten to the point of snapping, it's still not tight enough to hold the brackets from sliding up and down the fork tubes.. for the $$ I'm disappointed

Get what you pay for
These are very nice mounts and a great value. For a third of the price of other anodized aluminum parts, you have to expect some quality control issues. These are just cast aluminum mounts with a nice powder coat on them. It's a matte finish that looks great. That said, unless you have the brains and the know how to deal with issues that arise, I'd go with the mounts that are guaranteed to be good quality but at a higher price. I had to tap the holes in one of my mounts as there were no threads. Fortunately, a M6 tap with 1.00 pitch was all that it took the cut the soft aluminum and get me a functional mount. Kinda silly they got powder coat down in the threads but that can be cleaned up with the same tap.All in all, I'd buy these again but if I needed something that just worked then there's plenty of others out there for a higher price.
