All is solid wood except the bottom of the enclosed storage area, which is mismatched particle board. It is out of sight until you open the top.

I would check the dimensions of the top & items u want to put on it to be sure they won’t sit too close to the edges & that the weight is evenly distributed . You wouldn’t want little ones or pets running by - don’t forget it is not as high as a desk when lifted. I hope this is helpful.
