good value
recently purchased a number of knives with a very specific criteria. no "tactical", no paracord, no giant bowie, no folders, just a nice sized, natural handle bush knife, for CHEAP. all were in the $10-16 range. this was one of them.to be honest, not the best knife made. no, it wont contend with a $300 custom knife, but for under $20 this is a lot of knife. nice fit and finish, came sharp, didnt really punish them, but in the limited amount of trials i gave the blade seemed to hold a decent edge. at the end of the day, id take 20 of these over one $300 knife hands down. actually, id just get one and spend the other $285 on something else.and for the record. im giving this same review to all 8 of the knives i purchased for this "experiment". all seemed to hold edges well, some better than others, the fit and finish was better on some than on others, but easily acceptable on all, and all well worth the few dollars they cost.

great sturdy knife- perfect size for a woman's hands
My adult daughters and I all love this knife--the handle is sized perfectly for medium and large women's hands, despite being labeled here as a "gentleman's knife." Ours had no issues with fit or finish and I very much appreciate the wide full tang which makes this such a sturdy work knife. The styling is attractive (a nice bonus for a functional knife like this one). Some other reviewers have complained about the sheath not being leather, but expecting a leather sheath at this price point is unrealistic. I plan to order more of these, since they fit the ladies in our family better than the "blazin' bowie" knife I bought for my son. He thought the handle on this knife was sized a bit on the small size, but he has very large hands. I would definitely recommend this as a sturdy functional camping knife for women or for men with small-medium hands. I have given this as a gift and plan to order more. We are fans of Elk Ridge knives in general and have found each different model to be well worth the very reasonable prices.

Great knife for the price
Great knife for the price! The blade itself is very clean, with no noticeable imperfections or blemishes on the handle or guard. GREAT for throwing.Came out of the box sharp, which I personally don't care for, but it saves you the trouble of sharpening it.The sheath is sturdy, but it has one of those metal buttons that pop into place. I wouldn't be surprised it if the button stopped functioning after continues use.The steel also feels light weight, and may not be as sturdy as more expensive blades. This one comes to a fine thin tip, which could snap if you are rough on it.Nothing to complain about, honestly. You'll be hard pressed to find a decent reliable knife for 12 bucks. I would recommend it to any knife collector

Good simple camping knife under $10. You get what you pay for.
For under $10, this Chinese made knife is about as good as the deal you would get for the cheap knives on the TV Knife Shows. The 440 stainless blade is an appropriate length (4-inch cutting edge, 1-3/16-inch max blade width) for a 9-inch general purpose knife. The balance point of the weight is towards the handle (just behind the forefinger's grip). The blade spine is thick enough for sturdiness (1/8-inch) and begins tapering only 3/4-inch from the tip. The edge is extremely sharp and very well finished out of the box (it came packed in grease). The blade was so sharp it would easily cut the nylon sheath if it did not have the plastic insert. I expect the blade will dull easily but will also easily take a good edge. The well finished handle is an OK thickness (max 7/8-inch) and ergonomic for a medium sized hand. The knife has an excellent feel and balance in the hand.Cons:The nylon sheath is a very lose fit and the knife will very easily fall out unless you close the metal snap strap that holds it in place. The sheath must be a generic model that was also intended for larger knives. Since you will always have to secure the knife with the closed sheath strap, a Velcro strap would have been easier to use than the metal snap and would not leave scratches on the hilt's finish. The wood handle, though nicely finished, is slightly narrower than the knife hilt and the tang and does not make a level seam with them. This I could very easily forgive for this price range but in my case there is also a very narrow gap between the hilt and the wood handle which will cause issues if the knife is used for messy tasks like stripping game. This lack of detailed craftsmanship in the finishing of the handle must be how they save on manufacturing costs for such an inexpensive knife. Conclusion:Since I only intend this knife for occasional use while camping a couple of times a year, my focus is more on the blade than the handle and I am happy with it for under $10. You get what you pay for, it is not a Buck knife.

Contento
Está genial, estoy de acuerdo en que la funda no le va, sin embargo, el cuchillo en si satisfizo mis espectativas. Fue mejor de lo que esperaba.

Great value
Awesome knife, came out of the box razor sharp with a stunning finish. Used it for mutliple fish and some big game processing, softer steal makes it easy to resharpen but it holds an edge pretty long. The sheath is good quality as well and is super practical, fits the knife perfectly. Definetly reccomend as a gift or for outdoor activities.

Falsche Produktangaben!
