Q: Is this the same as the classic dry skin cream? the label looks the same but this seller describes it differently.

This is a rich, rich dry skin cream. I love it and have used the original ponds for years. This seems a bit richer. I am hooked. I don't know about the labeling, I can't remember. But this stuff is great.
