This is the worst tape I have ever used. Even regular masking tape is better than this. I am painting the walls of my home. I have been painting for years and have used masking tape, blue tape and Frog tape to mask off areas and between wall and ceilings. I applied the tape where the ceiling and the wall meet. After painting, I like to remove the tape as soon as possible so it won't dry into the paint. When removing this tape, it left small pieces of tape behind. The tape was so embedded that I could not remove it, and it was just the glue part of the tape. the top layer was fine. Long story short, I will have to touch up over it with white paint now.

I purchased this as I have not been having luck with the 3m painters tape. I tried the Frog Tape (which I love and works great), but, I needed a good amount and I did not want to spend the money on the Frog Tape. I tried this painter tape and it worked great for my project. Two things were important to me, when trying this tape.1) I did not want it pull the existing paint off the wall (It worked great for my application.)2) I did not want the new paint to "bleed" through. (Once again this tape worked great, with no "bleed".The tape was successful on both counts and for my purchase price it was nice value.

I use painter's tape mostly for art projects. I use it to hold canvas paper in place, or to mask off areas for different colors, or to tape paper canvases to cardboard backing during the painting process.Unfortunately, this tape just doesn't stick for very long. As you can see from this picture, the tape started peeling and falling off of this piece of cardboard. How does tape not stick to paper and cardboard?This picture was taken about 5 hours after I applied the tape.

If you are using this tape for painting straight lines, don’t. The tape adhesive is not applied uniformly. You can see this when you open the roll, it is splotchy and appears to have bubbles throughout the tape. The only plus is that it comes off easily. So if you just need an easily removable cheap painters tape for whatever be my guest. Otherwise spend the money and get a high quality painters tape so you don’t waste your time.

I specifically chose this product because of the photos showing its use on an artist's canvas...and I was very disappointed. The tape does not adhere well....I had to continue to press it down as I painted around it. I got the job done, but this tape made it so much harder than it needed to be. I would have returned it, but I was forced to use it -- and I bought the pack of 3! I won't even be able to use it instead of masking tape for other jobs.

Product arrived on time. Product is as advertised ... but, I WISH IT HAD MORE STICKING POWER

Noting but paint bleed. I bought this because other Amazon users/reviewers said there was no paint bleed. My husband came home and asked me why I didn’t use Frog tape, and I said because this has good reviews and I used points to get it free. Where I doubled up on it on the ceiling it did pretty well. Maybe it will be good to use for painting art work with Geometric designs or lines.

The failure of painter's tape to stick is generally caused by old age or very poor chemistry of the adhesive. This tape would only "bearly" stick to clean glass. It would stick to nothing else. It could not possibly work as a "painter's tape" Highly defective.
