Reliable affordable control for furnace and air conditioner.
I had a Venstar thermostat that the light burned out. It was a pain to set because you could not readily see the screen. It functioned perfectly for years so I bought another. It's reliable, simple, and works fine to adjust furnace and air conditioner. And, I bought the same exact form factor so I could just remove the old one from the base plate and plug in the new one without having to do any rewiring. Five stars.

Exact replacement
Love that this model is still available to purchase. Made for easy installation. The one that we replaced was there when we bought our place over 10 years ago and we have no idea how long before we moved in old one was there. Appears to be a good one based on its longevity. Simple and easy to use. It’s all you need.

Perfect replacement for Totaline buzzing thermostat
Super easy to hook up … the hardest part was using a flat tip screwdriver to pop off the old thermostat.Trust me … you can do this .

1 out of 2 units worked for me
For some odd reason my downstairs set up had 5 wires and this thermostat worked as it should and I was able to replace the mechanical thermostat with no issues. Glad to get rid of the annoying mechanical clicking sound as the unit was turning on and off.However, my upstairs set up only had 4 wires (missing the yellow cooling wire) and that's where I ran into problems. Tried different combinations of using the other wires, but never got it to work so going to look elsewhere for another thermostat.
