Both of our parents have passed and I wanted to use this as a way for them to be included. I used a picture of my parents on their wedding day in one cufflink and a picture of them while our Mom was pregnant with my brother in the other. These cufflinks arrived as promised in a quality presentation box. Other reviews mention instructions, mine did not arrive with any, but the description of the item did not say instructions would be included. That said, it is pretty self explanatory. The top of the cufflinks screw off and the base says photo. I was able to scan original photos and reprint them onto photo paper and use those pictures instead of ruining my originals. By using the base as a template I traced where to cut the picture for a perfect fit. Once I had my picture I layed it over the base and screwed the top back on. He was totally blown away by the pictures of my niece (his daughter) I cut out and put in them. It requires a little bit of trial-and-error (plus a quality printer and good photo paper unless you have it professionally done) to get the right size pictures in the frames but it's really easy overall. The frames screw tight and I can't see them coming loose very easily. Overall the quality is great, they seem sturdy and definitely don't feel 'cheap'. I was concerned they would be a little cheesy looking but they're subtle enough that no one would really recognize them on your cuff unless you showed it to them. My brother-in-law is a corporate lawyer so I was concerned they wouldn't be appropriate for his office.
