Corsair Quality, in and out
Once again, Corsair never ceases to amaze me. Love the design and quality of this flash drive. I bought this because it looks very sturdy and wanted something to use as my main portable storage for school (and to keep on my main key ring). The only thing that bugs me about it is the size. It's a very well designed drive in and out, but being so large and heavy makes it really stick out on my key ring. I'd easily pay more if I could get this drive in a shortened length; say about, 1/2 or 3/4 the size of this one. Still a great flash drive if you want something reliable. Also noting that the black paint obviously will chip and scrape off if you have it on a key ring. I've had mine for about 2 months now and it's a little dinged up. Still love showing off how tough my flash drive is, which catches the attention of anyone from office workers, to my outdoorsy buddies who appreciate anything that's made tough. Pros: Very Sturdy, rugged design Probably the toughest flash drive on the market Great price for the quality you receive Cons: On the large side, would much rather a compact version Black paint chips off

A great drive for important backups or for moving important data from one location to another.
This is a very good flash drive. I love the fact that it is waterproof and basically indestructible. If you are looking for a flash drive to back up very important data (I use it for family pictures as a second backup) I highly recommend picking one up. I found that the 64gig is reasonably priced for a drive with the perks the Corsair Stealth has to offer. Further, the feel of the drive is very high quality. It has weight to it. When holding it you get the sense of its strength. It is a 3.0 drive which is important when moving data quickly. Make certain you have 3.0 capability on your computer in order to use the speed this drive has to offer. As my data builds up I will purchase one with more gigs. I'm even considering buying one for my Mom and Dad. All in all I feel this is one of the best flash drives I've ever purchased. There are other drives out there that offer the strength and speed the Corsair Stealth has to offer, but I find this one to be aesthetically pleasing and super strong. I am repeating myself but it is that good of a drive. Pick one up to save import data or to safely transfer data from one location to another without the worry of losing a thing.

Excellent drive, okay random writes, hohum ergonomics
I'm very happy with this drive. It's a good performer. It holds multiple boot images and has great read performance. The write performance for large files is excellent too. I just wish the controller was better at small writes. That's a minor criticism however. I like the status LED as well. For my application this is very useful. Now the reason I gave it four stars: This is an issue for all the Survivor series drives. The aluminum tube that protects the drive can't be connected to the drive portion in any way. I've connected a loop to other drives with aluminum epoxy so I could run a lanyard through both sections and keep them connected, This is made more difficult by the black anodization of the stealth series. It would be so easy to just add a lanyard hole to the cap section so it could be connected to the drive section. This is a serious oversight in my opinion. Anyway, I haven't found any benchmarks on the 128GB version of this drive yet, so here you go: __________________________________ Crystal Disk Mark 3.0.2 Sequential Read - 163.8 MB/s Sequential Write - 94.45 MB/s __________________________________ HD Tune Pro: Corsair Survivor 3.0 Benchmark Test capacity: full Read transfer rate Transfer Rate Minimum : 141.5 MB/s Transfer Rate Maximum : 142.4 MB/s Transfer Rate Average : 142.0 MB/s Access Time : 0.705 ms Burst Rate : 74.5 MB/s CPU Usage : 1.5% _________________________________________________ HD Tune Pro: Corsair Survivor 3.0 Extra Tests Test capacity: full Random seek 1410 IOPS 0.709 ms 0.688 MB/s Random seek 4 KB 1383 IOPS 0.723 ms 5.404 MB/s Butterfly seek 1411 IOPS 0.709 ms 0.689 MB/s Random seek / size 64 KB 1172 IOPS 0.854 ms 18.014 MB/s Random seek / size 8 MB 36 IOPS 28.013 ms 144.749 MB/s Sequential outer 2330 IOPS 0.429 ms 145.638 MB/s Sequential middle 2329 IOPS 0.429 ms 145.577 MB/s Sequential inner 2332 IOPS 0.429 ms 145.721 MB/s Burst rate 1178 IOPS 0.849 ms 73.641 MB/s _________________________________________________ HD Tune Pro: Corsair Survivor 3.0 File Benchmark Drive F: Transfer rate test File Size: 500 MB Sequential read 149755 KB/s Sequential write 74316 KB/s Random read 1632 IOPS Random write 188 IOPS Random read (queue depth = 32) 1375 IOPS Random write (queue depth = 32) 16 IOPS Block size test File Size: 64 MB Block size Read speed 0.5 KB 4450 KB/s 1 KB 8762 KB/s 2 KB 16042 KB/s 4 KB 28122 KB/s 8 KB 44929 KB/s 16 KB 71687 KB/s 32 KB 107487 KB/s 64 KB 144791 KB/s 128 KB 148711 KB/s 256 KB 146509 KB/s 512 KB 147615 KB/s 1024 KB 151285 KB/s 2048 KB 153092 KB/s 4096 KB 156159 KB/s 8192 KB 166077 KB/s Block size Write speed 0.5 KB 196 KB/s 1 KB 210 KB/s 2 KB 433 KB/s 4 KB 855 KB/s 8 KB 1800 KB/s 16 KB 3541 KB/s 32 KB 9000 KB/s 64 KB 35102 KB/s 128 KB 13585 KB/s 256 KB 22361 KB/s 512 KB 39935 KB/s 1024 KB 21909 KB/s 2048 KB 22413 KB/s 4096 KB 22318 KB/s 8192 KB 22431 KB/s ___________________________________ Tests performed on a Xeon 5520 based system with a VIA 805 based USB 3.0 controller connected directly to the on-die PCIe controller of the Xeon 5520.

Works great, and cheap for something built this well
This is a cool little usb stick. It is water proof shock proof, and incase of nuclear war it is EMP proof because it is full encased in metal. Could put this on a key chain and never worry about it getting damaged. Or if you have kids in school that need a usb drive but are hard on stuff this would be a good choice because its virtually indestrutable. As long as you don't drop it out the window of the 78th floor, or run it over with a bulldozer. It has pretty fast read and write speed. My old laptop has usb 2.0 and my new one usb 3.0 speed seemed about the same on both, I'm not sure if that is because it was running fast on the 2.0 or slow on the 3.0. I never ran a test on it to see the exact speeds but it is plenty fast for every day use at work or school.

Awesome and a true 64gb.
This thing is great. I can be quite the klutz always dropping things. I have dropped other usb sticks before only to find them with bits and pieces of corrupted data. The fact that the usb stick screws into the small capsule keeps the usb contacts clean from pocket lint etc. I have a 32gb and a 64gb and both work the great. They have a true 64 and 32 gigabytes as well. You'll know what I am talking about if you have ever bought another usb stick lets say 32gb and your computer says its only 29 or so. This will read what its suppose to. USB 3.0 speeds are blazing compared to USB 2.0. This is a trustworthy product that is very durable well worth the price. You can literally whip this thing into the sky and let it free fall to the ground and it will work fine afterwards. I highly recommend it.

Amazing Product, Corsair Quality
I purchased this flash drive a s a replacement for numerous lost and damaged flash drives over the past few years. There were three thngs that made me want to buy this: 1. Its durability to prevent water and impact damage 2. Its larger size to make misplacing it more difficult 3. Its Corsair brand, witch has not failed me to this day with dozens of quality products. It has lived up to all three reasons for purchase and gone above expectations. When you are on the go and need to just throw it in a backpack, you won't have to worry about it getting damaged from being thrown around, or by that leaky water bottle in your bag, and its big enough so you can easily feel around for it whenever you need it. I have thrown this thing across rooms and dropped it in glasses of water, each time without fail. I highly recommend to anyone who needs durable, fast, or spacious portable storage. Well worth the money spent.

Incrediblly rugged and very functional USB stick.
These are the coolest devices I have in my house. Everything about it makes me feel like James Bond. Rugged, sexy and very functional. I am planning on buying more of these. They should last decades assuming nobody drops an atomic bomb on your house. So why then did I rate this only 1 star? They take this beautiful device out of the factory and slap a cheap little "Survivor" sticker on it. When I first looked at the pictures of it on Amazon I assumed it was somehow etched into the aluminum, or perhaps it was anodized aluminum (wow, would that have been HOT!). Nope! They placed a 1 cent sticker on it, the same kind you can buy at a dollar store for your kid (in packs of 100). In fact one of them was even peeling off at the corner. I ended up peeling them all off completely because they made these bad boys look so cheap -- and I can't allow them to be insulted that way. I highly recommend buying these, they will survive anything. But just realize that when you look at the product images of it, that's a lame sticker sitting on that thing. Horrible.

Anybody else tried to use in a Laptop Computer???
It does connect. A light flickers when it is in the USB port. I wanted a USB 3.0 faster drive. But I had to RAISE the PC to put in the USB slot... Really?? They didn't think that these days most people are buying notebooks/laptops and not desktop computers? I like the idea of a more secure flash drive. But as others have mentioned, should be password protected (security these days is NOT necessarily just being shock and waterproof!... keeps on ticking but in someone else's computer?) And then again, should I have to be raising my computer with a book to use it? I very seldom return items, but I think this one is going back, before I break it or the port by trying to put it in when there's no room for it to go in, By the way, I have an HP Envy PC. Got it a couple of months ago. The regular 15" case laptop.
