EKOSTORE 3-Watt Led Stage Light Blue Water Wave Effect Rapple Projector Lighting

Okay, I bought one of these a few months ago and was happy enough with it to order a second one for my lighting set up. However when I recieved the second one, the sound activation was not as responsive as the first one when testing them out side by side. I then contacted the seller and they sent me another one very promptly. I recieved the replacement one today and it had the same issue as the one it replaced, so I am lead to believe that the first one I recieved was the exception to the rule, though the two less responsive ones were from after they changed the brand name from Leaton to Ekostore, so maybe different parts were used when constructing the ones labled Ekostore vs. the one's labled as Leaton. Anyway, this is one of those "you get what you pay for" situations. The seller is awesome, though. They contacted me back within an hour or two of me emailing them, and they sent the replacement very quickly (and did not request me to send the other one back) as well. Sooooo....bottom line: Great seller (I would buy from them again) and good (though flawed) product. It is great if you don't need the sound activation mode, or if using to add atomosphere to your home or whatever, but for a professional lighting rig that requires precision sound activation, this is not the droid you are looking for.

This is a very nice effect and great for the price. Projected it onto the rear of projection screen material and it looked really nice.The only problem I had with this was after I got set up for a DJ gig and got my sound system going, I later turned this light on and it wreaked havoc on my sound system. Not just a little distortion or minor interference, but made it sound like I had a signal directly looping in my sound board. I turned this light off and it stopped. I could not use this light during the gig. I haven't had time to play around to see if it is something it is emitting some kind of radio frequency interference or if it is doing something in the electric current (I am thinking it's in the electric current and maybe putting the light on a different circuit should fix the problem) But overall, I still like this light and the price for it is good. If I can get it to play nice with my sound system then I will be ordering a few more to add to my setup.

If it is dark and placed on the floor it will cover about 10ft of an 8ft ceiling. I imagine it can cover twice that at twice the distance. The pattern is a convincing enough water ripple. The color is that bright electric blue led light. It is too pure a blue to be the color of water. The refracting lense hurts if you look at it, a solution could be to project the unit from inside a box. I really like that the speed can be adjusted from stopped to super slow all the way to fast. I also really like that the pattern does not repeat (it probably does but I never could find the pattern). I hung a plexiglass mermaid my mom made in front of the light. The light now projects her onto the ceiling, the edges of her shimmer magically. The awesomeness of the light tripled. You could hang a sea themed mobile in front of it and really inspire awe and wonder. Especially if the objects are see through. Though I wish I could change the blue to something less intense, the color does seem to bring peace and safety to my room. Almost like the color frequency repels anything negative, like sage, but instead of smoke it's light.

I recently bough 4 of these blue water wave lights and I have to be honest - I love them!!! I now own 8 blue water wave lights. I am planning a party and wanted to do a underwater theme so I ordered these to see how they would work. The room where I am planning my party has 30 foot ceilings - when I received the first 4 wave lights I immediately placed them around the room and WOW my whole room was transformed into a underwater wonderland! I was so excited that these worked so well that I ordered 4 more. I gave two of them to my niece and nephew and they loved them also! They make great gifts. My nephew works in television and he is going to take his to work and put it in his office. My niece is going to decorate her room with hers. The shipper was great! I didn't have any problems and they arrived on time and in great condition. I plan on buying more of them to give to other family members - in fact when other family members saw these they wanted them also. These are amazing!!!

I bought one of these after seeing a neighbor put them up as outdoor holiday lighting (green/red). That's not to say they're made to stay outdoors (electronics and rain are bad news) but they do look great up against the side of the house for short periods. Being fairly small (5.3" x 3.6" x 2.0") and easy to mount certainly helps.It's not exactly a complex device, consisting of a small circuit board, an LED light source and the special lens to get the water effect. That said, the quality of the unit was better than I expected. Sturdy blue anodized aluminum that's strong enough that I can't bend/compress it at all. Fairly simple switches and knobs though the latter are a bit on the small side. Not a bad thing necessarily, it just takes a little finesse to twist until you get the hang of it. The effect itself is fluid and pretty close to actual water, especially at a distance. It still looks very fluid up close but you can see a bit more definition in the edges of the lens shining through, but only barely.I'd probably put this at a solid 4.5 stars on its own but I'm bumping it up to a 5 for the excellent customer service. My first unit arrived with some slight damage and they were super helpful in responding immediately and sending me out a second unit. I know Amazon's automated system will sometimes do the same thing but it was a nice touch that EKOSTORE responded directly and acted just as fast.

Package all taped up like it was opened prior!! Lens all scuffed up, power cord rattles inside and only works if you shake it the right way ...worth 2 cents, tripod doesn't fit properly. When I finally got it to work...with lots of swearing, it's nice, just very poorly made!! Definitely not worth $25.00!!! Ultimately, the scuffs don't seem to affect the light but still...speed setting has a mind of its own....
