This is a great kit. I’ve had these kind of kits from others vendors before with varying degrees of quality, but this really is a solid, well made product. It comes in its own case (like these products tend to) and this makes it ideal to take along as a puzzle when travelling. The kit comes with the dual-ended lock (both ends using a different key), an excellent little ‘Swiss Army knife‘ style set of lock picks with a tension bar, along with the keys and very clear introductory guides to lock picking. All packaged in a neat case. I had a query with any earlier kit that I have bought from Lock Cowboy and it’s refreshing to find a seller that really goes out of their way to ensure the buyer has the best experience. Great kit, great seller - fully recommended.

Right off the bat, this little set looks very nice. The multi-Pick tool, is very compact and feels good, in the hand. I firstly, removed the tensioner, then tried every pick locked into place. Some of the picks, have a slight bit of movement, to them once locked in place, but you get used to it. Some, lock tighter and have no movement at all..... The multi-pick tool seems to be, of good quality, and seems sturdy enough, I guess only time will tell, but for now all seems good! I found, that using one of my top of the key way, tensioners made it much easier, to pick the lock provided in the set, but the one provided on the actual multi-pick tool works great, on pad locks! You might, get it to work ok with the lock provided too, but if you have a top of the key way tensioner, you can always use it, if not! I've seen, and used tools similar to this one, and I'm really not sure why, the sellers business name, is always engraved upside down!!?? As you can see, in the pictures when you put the tool, the correct way around to use, the name (Logo) is upside down! Hmmm I think, I'd get it engraved, so that the name (logo) would be the right way up, when the tool is being primed, to be used (And while in use!) Anyway, that's just a little observation!.. Back to the review- As you can see, from the pictures, and to my horror the locking bolt, hasn't got a retainer, so if you losen it too much, it can drop out!! Mine, unfortunately ended up, down the side of my sofa!.. That was, an interesting repatriation I can tell you!! Especially, having to go through food fragments, under the finger nails! (Mainly biscuits, from the kids! Haha) Prompting, the other half to indicate, that she would like me, to vacuum, down between the edges!! (Arrgh more work lol) So, perhaps this can be, addressed in future releases!??... Anyway, the tool is a handy pocket sized tool, that's all set to be added, to your favourite key ring bunch (Obviously if, you are a Locksmith, this would be more, beneficial) Given, the law etc.... I won't be, carrying this on my keys, as the last thing I'd want is the Police, asking me all kinds of questions, should I ever be in the vicinity of a break in etc.. and one of them, knowing what it is, and putting two and two, together and coming up, with 5!! Hey, I pick for fun! Have you ever, heard of lock sport!??.. Haha, might not cut it in certain, circumstances!.... So, if you are looking for a, compact multi-pick set, then I fully recommend this product! It's lightweight, durable and once you get used to the feel of it, in your hand, I'm sure you'll enjoy using it, when maybe your full size set, is upstairs, or left at work etc! This would, be the ideal back up set, all located in, one handy compact tool!! It's approximately, 4 inches long, without any picks out and about an inch thick. The lock, is good and hey, you can never have to many practice locks hey, and here you get two, in one! It's a good little set, with two practice locks, so for the money it's well worth it! I'd recommend, this set to anyone interested in lock sport, and indeed for a smith too, as a handy little back up set, that's easy to keep in your pocket/attached to your keys!.. So to sum it all up, apart from the logo, and the lack of a retaining part, for the bolt lock, all of which could be rectified, for future releases, by the Lock Cowboy. This is a very good set, for the money and you get, a no quibble money back guarantee from the seller! So you, can't go wrong! So errm, buy it already haha 👍😜😎 You'll be glad, you did!!! 👍👍😎

Firstly I was surprised how small the set was which great as its a lot more pocket friendly than I imagined. It was very well packaged as was my first set from Lock Cowboy, The set arrives in a nice sturdy plastic box, A really nice informative guide arrived buy email shortly after I ordered in PDF form. The double ended practise lock was really nice and easy to hold,each end has its own lock, Easy and hard. I raked both locks pretty quickly and was able to pick the the easy end of the lock with the medium hook within a few minutes the harder took around 8 minutes and was a bit more of a challenge. I quickly moved onto a few other locks I had close to hand a Master Lock #3 & a Master Lock #4 I managed to pick both locks within 10 mins. I found the picks very easy to use as they where a perfect size me. I usually give my picks a bit of a polish before I use them but these worked fine straight out of the box. These picks are a great price and suitable for a beginner and expert alike and I would highly recommend giving them a go.

While the pick set is actually pretty well made it's not without issues. Firstly the picks on mine don't lock securely when the knurled wheel is tightened, this means that not only does pick you are trying to use move up and down, but the stowed picks flop around which makes picking difficult. After using the tool for a while I also find the tool body becomes uncomfortable and digs into my hand. The actual picks themselves are of a decent quality and finish.

I have been wanting to get into lock picking for several years..... something else always came up and then just last week, while browsing Amazon for random stuff, I see this little beauty and ordered it straight away. The tool itself is sturdy and well made. The screw used for locking the blades closed or opened has some nice knurling for grip, bit I did find a little wiggle when I had a blade opened and locked......I didn't want to tighten the screw too much as sometimes it can be very hard to loosen. That's so far just a minor gripe because it is a fantastic little tool The dual lock is handy to have to practice on.......soon I was raking and single picking the lock in no time.......I did however find that it seems to only be the first pin which actually locks the lock......it always seemed to be the one that unlocked it whether I picked it first or last......maybe I'm totally missing something, being a complete amateur, or maybe that is the way it is....either way, I'm not expecting a world class lock to be included and it does what it does it learning the basics......sometimes I find myself picking away with it as I lie and watch TV So yeah, conclusion....... definitely a must buy.....whether beginner or pro.....the tool itself is worth it just to have something small and handy to fit in your pocket or on a keychain......... excellent

I will be honest in saying that the whole experience as been absolutely awesome, the customer support, the follow up and everything. This is my 2nd picking set from them and alas, much more challenging, but this is a good thing. The packaging was well presented, the box it came in, is bound to keep things altogether and the quality is there too. Being someone who just wanted a side interest and to acquire a skill, if I use it or not, it another question but I am always keen to learn something new. These sets, are as good as they get, even without the extra support and video's available, be warned, it will take time but you will pick the lock eventually, once you got it right the first time, you will see how quick and easy it is. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a side activity, wants to learn a trade or who has an interest in locksmiths, this is just one of those products that has been well designed, thought through very well and the end product is better than I could expect, especially at the price point. The company is only ever too happy to help and support and provide guidance. I will say, my initial attempt was not successful, but came back a few days later and bang, within minutes had picked my very first lock. I think once you get past the over thinking bit, and just observe the mechanics of the lock and its workings, something will just ring in your head and you will pick it. Once you have done this confidently a few times, try your front door, this is my plan anyway. Like all skills, they need to be practice, honed and regularly used or else you forget them. Some people are naturals, well others try and learn. Each to their own.

I am loving this, Here are my thoughts The package arrived 2 days early and in great condition. It took me a bit of time to get into the actual plastic box itself but I got in eventually. Opening up the box is always fun for me, call me a little kid at heart, the box came with a door lock, two sets of keys for each side, and the lock picking set itself. The keys are like any regular Key, nothing special. The actual lock itself was new to me as this is the first time I have bought one like this so I can't tell you if it is the best the world, but what I can say is, it is sturdy and does not seem like it will easily break. The keys and the lock work perfectly. The Lock picking set is made out of metal and seems to be in good order. It is small and easy to carry. I have tried it on my other locks and am always happy with the outcome. It has a small button so you can get the picks. The wrench slides in and out with ease but the first few times were a little tricky for me, the wrench can't bend and feels great when being used, personally I think it is the best wrench I have ever gotten. The kit comes with 6 different picks 4 of them being in my top ten favourite picks, my only problem with the kit is that it is meant to tighten the pick so it doesn't move but I find it will jiggle and that can sometimes muddle me up when picking. The actual picking is a lot harder for me than a padlock which is what I learned on. The e-books tell you a lot but it still isn't helping me out. If anyone has any tips it would be appreciated. The e-books provide detailed diagrams that are easy to read for anyone above 14 or 15 any less and It wouldn't make sense. There are short clips on what to do which I am grateful for. As I said I am having trouble opening this lock I don't know if it is me or the lock, I have tried it with all my other picks and can only open it 1 out of 5 times, I regret to say that this is most likely me. Otto, the founder has been most helpful and answers all my questions no matter how weird it may sound. I thank him for being supportive and patient. If anyone has a question please ask me as I wouldn't mind helping. There are certain aspects that I would like to change if I were to buy it again (see below): If I were to make it "better" I would make a mark on the keys telling us which one is for which side as you have to try both keys on one side. A way to know which side is the easier one and which is harder that way I can start on the easy sde instead of guessing. Maybe make a video on youtube and share it with the buyer showing us how to unlock it and any tips and trick but that is more of an optional thing. And lastly, Find a way to make sure the picks don't "jiggle once in place while it is not the end of the world if it isn't fixed it would just make life a tad easier. Review Lockpicking Set: Review zum 2ten Lockpicking Set von Lock Cowboy Ich habe mir bereits das erste Set gekauft und war mit diesem sehr zufrieden, und jetzt, da ich auch die Chance hatte dieses Set auszuprobieren und mir lange Gedanken gemacht habe verfasse ich schließlich eine Review, die hoffentlich zu einer Entscheidung beitragen kann. Ich werde das Ganze in Pro und Contra gliedern. Pro: Das Set ist unglaublich kompakt. Ich bin mir sehr sicher, dass man auf dem gesamten Markt in dieser Richtung wenig findet, was kompakter ist, und was man einfach die ganze Zeit in seiner Hosentasche behalten kann und man nicht mal darüber nachdenken muss. Ein weiteres Plus ist, dass im „Taschenmesser“ ein Spanner mit eingebaut ist, der sich nach kurzem Orientieren auch relativ leicht herausnehmen lässt. (Einfach oben mit dem Finger mit genügend Druck entlangfahren.) Auch das Design gefällt mir sehr gut, es sieht wertig aus, ist schön poliert und hat keine abgerundeten Kanten, was mir persönlich gut gefällt. (Scharf sind die Kanten selbstverständlich auch nicht.) Anschließend an den oberen Punkt sieht das Kit nicht nur wertig aus, sondern fühlt sich auch wertig und genügend schwer in der Hand an, da hier kein Plastik verbaut ist. Im Zubehör kann man 2 EBooks finden, die ich jedoch nicht getestet habe, ich kann aber sagen dass die EBooks des ersten Sets ihre Arbeit getan haben. Auch ein doppelseitiges Übungsschloss ist dabei. Hier ist das Konzept von zwei Schwierigkeitsstufen zwar besser, aber auch bei den Contra Punkten habe ich etwas zum Schloss zu sagen. Contra: Um direkt beim Schloss zu bleiben: Was ich hier vermisse, ist das befriedigende Klacken wenn man das Schloss knackt, und generell lag das Schloss im ersten Set besser in der Hand und hat sich wertiger angefühlt. Die Schraube, mit der man die Dietriche feststellt, tut ihren Job so wie sie soll, jedoch kann sie herausfallen wenn man sie zu weit herausdreht. Mir wäre es lieber, wenn sie dann einfach nicht mehr weiterdrehen würde. Zuletzt im Contra ist noch, das die Dietriche sich selbst bei voll angezogener Schraube auf und ab bewegen, was persönlich für mich zwar kein Problem dargestellt hat, da man einfach den Finger auf den Dietrich legen kann, allerdings kann ich mir vorstellen, dass so manch andere ihren normalen Griff abändern müssen. Alles in allem sind Pro Punkte meiner Meinung nach stark überwiegend, und man könnte die Contra Punkte als Kritik auf wirklich hohem Niveau bezeichnen, doch hier muss sich jeder eine eigene Meinung bilden. Ich hoffe ich konnte einigen die Wahl erleichtern, ob sie sich das Produkt anschaffen, oder nicht.

Ho subito notato la compattezza e la durevolezza dei materiali premium che lo rendono molto resistente dando una sensazione di solidità al tatto. All’interno c’è anche un foglietto con il link per scaricare le guide (tra l’altro spiegate molto bene e in maniera semplificata) e un lucchetto trasparente, così da poter fare pratica guardando cosa succede ai pin all’interno quando si inserisce la chiave o il grimaldello. All’interno del kit si trova il tensore rimovibile e 6 grimaldelli con diverse dentellature e una vite per il bloccaggio delle stesse. Consiglio l’acquisto per chi vuole imparare l’arte del Lock Picking o per chi avesse smarrito la chiave di qualche lucchetto. In ogni caso potrebbe tornare utile.
