I asked my son - He said he believes they will fit in the camper portion, but they will not fit in the driver section. He is not positive - but believes the Lego Friends figures are slightly bigger than a mini-figure.

I found every time my son just asked one person to hold one oar. It is not so flexible for the person to hold two oars at the same time.
