Silva Otus 2 Headlamp

Perfect for running. I originally had a rechargeable head torch which was 'waterproof' to IPX4 the workings of which rusted to the point of being useless within a month. As I run in all weathers and admit to getting sweatier than most people I begrudgingly decided to go for this non rechargeable IPX7 one. I'd avoided battery power due to the hassle of batteries which need changing but shouldn't have worried. The battery life on this is reported to be 90 hours on low power and 30 hours on high power. Low power is easily enough to see where I'm putting my feet and indeed a reasonable distance ahead and in theory I should get a whole winters worth of use out of one set of batteries. This is more comfortable and lighter weight than the rechargeable one but not as bright so the range is not quite enough to see the next style across a field when the path is unclear. Great price at £15 but p&p at £5 was a little expensive. Arrived in a timely fashion and I would recommend this to any runners/walkers who don't need to floodlight 1/4 of a mile ahead of them.

This is a very nice product BUT unfortunately the on button activates too easily and then the battery is flat when you want to use it. Has happened every time I've needed it !!!
