Stuhrling Original Men's 417.03 Aquadiver Regatta Espora Swiss Quartz Stainless Steel Dive Watch

I want to correct a lot of people that misunderstand or do not know the Stuhrling brand. This watch is a great watch, From my experience, this is easily a $250 no question about it. The luminous DOES WORK! I don't know what people expect from it....LED lights????? This is not a Casio G-Shock. MADE IN CHINA...this is actually great... 30 years ago it would be different but by today Chinese has improved their manufacturing, “Made in China” really doesn't mean what it used to. Today they are the standard when it comes to manufacturing...who do you think had been making your iphone, computers and tablets? I posted here pic of the watch in the dark (cellphone pic though, it looks a lot brighter in person. Swiss movement that is the most important part, it is a very popular and used swiss movement so replacing it would be really cheap if needed. This swiss movement is a 5 series model and while it is one of the less expensive movement (not cheap) it should last a good 10 years or more. For a better understanding we can compare the Swiss movement with a Mercedes benz, the 5 series model being a C-class, 7 series an S-class and a 7004.B a Maybatch. Even though it is a 5 series it is still a great movement. I Posted a Picture of the Ronda Swiss quartz available. My advise as always is to get different straps for it (22mm) here I also show one of the straps I got for it that is waterproof for swimming and daily use. Always use the pins that came with the Stuhrling watch as they are thicker and stronger than any aftermarket replacements you can buy.

I went into this purchase knowing this was a very inexpensive watch. Knowing that it is very good bang for the buck. It really does look very similar to a submariner. It definitely is big so make sure to read the spec size before you make your purchase. For me I'm fairly big and the watch is still borderline too big looking for me. The watch itself is well made. Very heavy and a meaty case especially for a quartz movement. The movement itself is fine for most but I do get annoyed that it not nearly as accurate as other quartz watches. My Tissot PR100 is accurate within 1 second per month and I find this is about +15 seconds a month if not more. But this is to be expected from a watch in this price range. The stainless steel is machined well and has a nice contrast between the brushed and polished parts of the watch. Crown is sturdy and have had no problems with it in the time I've owned it. The bezel is good but it is firm and difficult to click. The lume is okay, pretty short lasting and too dim to see after 10-15 minutes. My number 1 criticism with the watch is the crystal. I understand it is pretty much impossible to find a watch with a sapphire crystal in this price range but krysterna crystal is to me just as susceptible to cracks as mineral crystal. I dropped the watch about 3 feet out of a locker at my gym and a small piece of the edge of the crystal chipped off. Other than that the watch itself really has minimal signs of wear. I have had the watch about 18 months and worn it a lot in the pool and ocean and it still looks like it is new condition. Quality control is the number one thing I read about before purchasing this watch. The only QC problem on my watch is a small part of the logo and water resistant letters have a small portion missing. Hardly noticeable but I expected minor flaws like this for such an inexpensive watch. Overall if you're looking for a cheap submariner look-a-like and don't mind a few minor flaws and quality control this is the watch for you. I have not had any problems with the functionality of the watch and wear it to the beach and to beat around when I go outdoors.

I'll give it 5 stars for the money. If I paid more I'd have to lower it to a 4. Have had for little over 1 week.Pros: Very nice looking. Keeps good time so far. In fact, it has not lost a second in the week that I have had it! Good heavy feel to it, which I like. The hands and markers are luminous. I checked in complete darkness and could see without a problem. I don't know how long the luminosity will last as I have not tested that.Cons: Second hand doesn't line up with the marks on the face. Constantly changes to before, on, and after the marks depending on when you look at it. I was surprised that it's actually keeping perfect time. The date magnification is a little weak. My 50 y.o. eyes still can't see it. The bezel is very hard to turn but I won't be using it anyway.I paid $99.00 with tax and shipping. Later saw one cheaper and with free shipping on EBay. So make sure you shop around. I could have saved some money. Overall, I'm very pleased for the money. In fact, I ordered a different model which I'm hoping that the second hand lines up properly. The Regatta Champion with the black face and green bezel. I can swap them around and have a nice looking watch at all times.

Just got it today. Packing is really good and complete. But the color bezel is black instead of blue, as it seems to be in the pictures ... Also the blue dial is darker than expected. Size is ok, as expected for a 44 mm declared diameter. But weight ... It's too heavy ... what for so heavy ? Bezel movement is ok: firm and neat. I still have to take out some segments to make it fit my arm and wear it, so next time i'll write further impressions.

Great watch - nice, hefty feel, relatively easy to size, beautiful case, bracelet, bezel and workmanship. Very accurate as expected, and looks far more expensive.HOWEVER - nowhere in the specifications or information does it say anything about the hour markers, except that they are "applied". They are *NOT* luminous, at all, although the paint used is deceptively almost-luminous looking color and texture. Clever misrepresentation/fake....and I'm super bummed about it.BUT - it is a beautiful watch, was an important Christmas gift, so I will live with it.Had I known before-hand, I am certain it would not have made it onto my wishlist!!!!Beware!!!

I purposely waited 3 weeks before leaving a review as I knew I'd be putting this watch through its paces and spending most of its time under water during a 2 week trip to the Caribbean.The verdict? Fantastic watch! I expected the worst due to the inconsistencies in reviews but I have to say, and maybe I was lucky and others got lemons, but this watch has thoroughly impressed me!The time hasn't budged since I first set it, no signs of water leakage (and it spent a ton of time under water), the weight makes it feel like most luxury watches, the crystal feels solid and the bezel...considering what it has gone through in the last few weeks, still looks brand new and untouched!Highly recommend buying it for anyone on the fence!!

Eine sehr schöne, aber auch sehr schwere Uhr. Diese Uhr sieht einer Rolex sehr ähnlich. Habe viele Komplimente wegen dem aussehen bekommen. Eine sehr schön Designte Uhr und das starke Blau gibt dem ganzen eine edle Note.Das bereits erwähnte Gewicht, ist entgegen der anderen Rezensionen, nicht so leicht. Doch nach paar Tage merkt man das Gewicht nicht mehr.Diese Uhr ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Calidad Sthurling....Lindíssimo reloj, com un azul igual en la esfera e en bisel, de grandes dimensiones pero muy bien, pesado mas se aguenta muy bien, preciso e com um precio irrisório....Lo recomiendo por ser muy distinto !!!
