Ener-G Horse Riders - Nintendo DS

when i first got this game, i was so excited.in this game,they would give you something to do or go find. you would get to compete in competitions,take care of your horse, and even buy more horses. the price might be high,but it's totally worth it.this game is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The game itself is not anything like what i thought it would be. on the back of the game "box," it had a picture of some cool horse colors that you supposedly could choose from. It also said that you could choose the breed AND color of your horse. you can't. There are only a handful of breeds, but they all have set colors, plus, none of the cool coats that i saw where in the game. It was very disappointing. The gameplay was tedious, and all the minigames seemed to be copies of those in Petz Horses2... The storyline was AWFUL, and i never did understand why they added the dog. it seemed soo worthless, and the BARKING- don't get me started. The game itself seemed to be aimed towards very young children, which might explain my negative opinion. I found it to be very unrealistic. (take the "saddles" for example lol)I did feel quite proud of myself, however, when i found an appaloosa horse in the woods. well, actually a foal... that looked like a calf >.< it doesn't seem to serve a purpose to the game, or a place in the story line, either. (the girl's uncle and aunt seem to care about her having a dog, but say nothing when she brings home a freakin' wild horse? please...)Also- does anyone else see the cover?! it's Awful! seems like whoever photoshopped it didn't even finish! The white horse in the front is missing a bridle, (and bit for that matter!) it has no saddle blanket, and the saddle looks as if it was just cut-n-pasted onto the image! The black horse is worse- The bridle isn't even on the horse's head! do you see that? its wayyy too low! the graphic artist forgot to move the horses head!!! and the girls? I seriously doubt the model with the white shirt could stay in such a relaxed pose while riding bareback on a horse that is throwing its head up!!! (as if it's kicking up its feet) her hand isn't even resting on a flat surface!!!!!! HOW DID THIS GET PAST QUALITY CONTROL??? SERIOSLY!!!!!! why would they even put the coat colors on the back cover if they're NOT EVEN IN THE GAME?????!!!!!!!!! by the way- i see that the game cover on here is different than mine... this is the one i have: [...]i would write a better review- nevermind. cross that out. not for this game i wouldn't.

Short and not very exciting story/plot, mediocre graphics, and the game overall is almost too easy. You can have more than one horse but they're really expensive and the selection of breeds is poor and limited. I am also a college student like one other person who reviewed this game, and I am the same way. I played this game for an hour the day I got it and was already bored. Don't waste your money. Unless you have in mind to give it to some smaller child who likes horses and has a DS, I am sure younger ages would probably like the game, but there are other games that are far more fun and realistic. I would highly recommend Horse Life Adventures over this.

Its more for younger not older. My 11 yr old finished it in 1 night. When we first got it it didnt work but later did so not as good condition as stated.

Be-u-uh-full picture and great details in the characters expressions. Grooming the horse is WAY to short yet fun to do. Could use a few more mini games or extra challenges. The story is sweet and exciting and VERY easy to follow. I live in area where it is hard to ride during the winter and I love jumping with my horse. I hope this game would kept me busy long enough so I won't get home-sick for horse back riding. It helps even though I defeated the game twice in two days (sooner if I wasn't doing other things). A great game if your looking a young and kid friendly game, as long they are at the age of being able to read this game would be perfect!

This was purchased for my daughter for Christmas. She has a great love for horses, and she loved learning about more about horses on this game. I even received the game 2 days before the estimated due date.

The game arrived on time and was everything I remember from the first time I played it.
