Just swapped your wage packet for a Sony camera? Good decision. Where some people respond to the smile of a new-born infant or the aroma of lavender, you have your priorities straight. For you, it's a nicely weighted casing, great CCD, a lightning-fast chip and amazing video recording. We get it. These things are cool. But what about scratches? How will you preserve all that mirrored beauty and perfection of form? Ah, you bought a screen protector? Maybe you spent a couple of bucks. But you soon realized you might as well have used plastic wrap. Your screen had more bubbles than a foam machine at a kid's party. Luckily, you've got Expert Shield. Money can't buy a better screen protector. (Although we will accept a used Maserati.) They're guaranteed for life. What makes Expert Shield screen protectors so darn good? Well, you know those triple-choc brownies you love? Well, we adopt a similar layered approach. The first layer is silicone gel that grips your screen like a magnet (without actually being one). We then layer in an ultra-hard mask to keep off deeper scratches. Finally, the top layer is a durable plastic that keeps your camera screen as shiny and bright as a spinifer. Whatever that is. Customer service? Your screen protector is precision-cut according to make and model. It will last longer than any other. There's no glue or residue. And under your guarantee, weÍll replace it in the time it takes to say "Lifetime GuaranteeÍ. Buy now. Or risk unbearable sadness. Note: This is our original Crystal Clear version.

Perfect! (Use a painter's tape hinge to apply it, though.)
Great product! When the screen on my A7rII started going "bad" (cloudy looking, particularly along the edges), I (incorrectly) assumed I needed a replacement LCD, which I figured would be quite expensive. A bit of Googling turned up this product (actually, the matte version). Yay! Easy to apply/install, and "like new"!Some installation advice:- I first started trying to remove the old screen by picking at its corner with a razor blade. But that just sort of picked apart the corner, vs. lifting it up. I found that the best approach was to push the razor under the screen a bit back from the corner, with the razor's edge pointed toward the corner. Once the blade is under, just a bit, pull it towards the corner. By working gently this way, I was able to get the corner up enough so I could grab it with my fingers, and then pull the whole thing off.- As someone else suggested, rather than trying to align the new screen "by hand," just get it lined up (with the bottom screen cover still in place), and then tape it down on one side (the bottom, for me) with painter's tape. Then, I unhinged it up, removed the bottom screen cover, and "rolled" it down onto the LCD from the hinge side. I used the back of my fingernail to push out any bubbles, which was easy.- I also gave the LCD a puff with my Rocket Blower right before I hinged the screen protector down, although I'm not sure if doing so made any difference. (Just to make sure there was no dust still on the unprotected screen.)- I followed their advice, and installed the cover in a humid bathroom (to cut down on dust-attracting static). The first link I found to this product was for the matte ("anti-glare") version ( Expert Shield *Lifetime Guarantee* - THE Screen Protector for: Sony A7R II / A7S II / A7II / A7MKII - Anti Glare ). One review I read said they wished they had purchased the clear one, as the matte finish seemed to interfere with visibility. Which was enough to steer to to the clear version. I have no idea what the matte version would look like, but the clear version seems perfect to me.Highly recommended -- especially if you make a painter's tape hinge, vs. trying to align it "by hand."

If you have air bubbles...
I have experience with installing screen protectors for iPhones for the past 7 years. For this screen protector, it was pretty simple. The cut was perfect, but I had air bubbles that I almost got rid of, but I was left with permanent streaks. I do not want this to interfere with my videography/photography, so I just took it off and threw it away. On the front cover of the package, it says, "easy to apply without bubbles". But, that is not true. I wish I took a picture before I took it off and threw it away.

LCD Protection for Sony A7R II
Expert Shield is exactly what I needed and ordered for the Sony A7R II. I had ordered it to be here (prepared) for the arrival of the new camera. I did contact Customer Care with Expert Shield and they were gracious and extremely helpful. My only hiccup up was through Amazon. The product and the folks associated with the company are stellar.Aside...the directions are somewhat entertaining for the American audience. Some of the references are totally unknown to me. The installation of the Screen Protector went on flawlessly.I would, as needed, definitely get this protector again.

Easy to apply and does what's expected
Directions for installation were good. I followed the directions and had no troubles. I did practice as they suggest, which helped me figure out how to place my own fingers and hold the camera to avoid trouble aligning and applying without bubbles, etc. I got no bubbles or concerns; the protector attached cleanly and seems well attached. The suggestion to apply in a steamy bathroom to avoid dust also seems to have worked; I have no dust trapped under the screen shield. The screen is just about invisible on the camera. The back / screen area has taken some knocks and rubbing from other gear in the last couple of weeks since the shield was installed; so far, there are no mars or scratches. It is a simple product, easy to apply, and seems to do what I expected. There's not much more to say.

Royal work to install
Royal pain in the neck to install. Let me add what the directions did not. First, when you peel it apart you have a thik side and a thin side. The thin side is what goes on the camera. Here I was thinking thick side for proper thickness and coverage. Getting it in place with no bubbles was not that tough. But then you have little tabs 1 and 2 on each piece of film, and you need to remove the tab on the film you just put on the camera. NOT EASY! I got it off but already put a good amount of wear and tear on the screen as a result. Probably use Goop Off or an astringent to clean the plastic cover. But now that it is in place I should be good.

I suspect a bad cut or should I say it's defective
Quality isn't there for something that cost $12 bucks.I cleaned the screen with alcohol swipes and then use a keyboard dust blower to make sure all dust was off the screen. I washed m hands to make sure no oil would get on the adhesive side of the protector.Removed side #1 and carefully aligned everything. Layed it straight onto the surface. The right side of the screen protector along the edge doesn't adhere correctly. It bubbles on the side. No dust underneath it, just adhesive problem. I suspect a bad cut or should I say it's defective.

This should not be priced more than 5$
You have to get right installing it on the first try or else it is good as useless. Taking it off is also a hassle. Be careful as not to scratch your LCD screen when taking it off. NEVER TRUST PUTTING THIS PROTECTOR ON AN EXPENSIVE CAMERA. Go for a tempered glass screen protector instead.

This was a very easy shield to install
This was a very easy shield to install. I first read the instructions. I carried out the operation in a moist room as suggested. I had no problems with either dust or bubbles in the applications. It looks very nice and covered completely as description stated. I've had problems with other screens that had the double sided tab approach. But had absolutely no issues with this one. I'm more than happy with the product.

An Excellent Product (Without Bubbles) That Has To Be Applied With Care.
I've had one of these before and I find them to be the only screen protector that I can apply without getting bubbles.I would say that the guy's who supply these are perfectionists, maybe too much so. My reason for stating this is the exactness of the fit as it leaves no margin for error, and error is what most of us are about to some degree or another.I was even applying it in the bathroom, I even had a dummy run but still I couldn't get it perfect. Luckily for me the amount of misalignment was so small that I got away with it. Anyway, I think it's a fantastic product even though I found the wording of the instructions on the back to be a little annoying. So, I would suggest a little less exactness which would give that little more room for error for those who find these jobs exacting. After all, it is the centre of the screen that we are protecting and the edges are not really the problem.Still though, after all that pickiness I'd have to say that this must rank as one of the best screen protectors for the Sony A7 MkII and other cameras.

Screen damage.
As a first time user of a protective film, I fitted my Expert Shield this morning, following the very clear instructions provided. Frustratingly despite the steamy bathroom I managed to get a tiny dust spec and in removing it managed to get four more, together with a sticky tape smudge to the outer side! Contacted the supplier for help which came very promptly and pleasantly and, together with a freshly steamy bathroom - dust free to within an inch of its life - my ES is now fitted to a Sony A7 Mk 2 perfectly. Screen clarity is not reduced at all. Thrilled with the purchase and with the customer support. Thank you.Edit July 2017. The protective film started to lift from the screen so I removed it as per instructions. To my horror I found damage to the screen similar to that seen by another user on a Sony camera several years ago. After several pleasant exchanges with the Expert Shield vendor who will not accept any liability but did offer a good will gesture of my money back, I had to accept that whatever my own view, I had no reasonable way to prove the cause of the damage even though the protector had been fitted to a new camera screen. Ultimately I returned my camera for repair by Sony at a cost of £117 (the best quote I could get). I now use my repaired screen without any protector! I can no longer recommend this product.

Very happy with Expert Shield protector for Sony A7II
Very happy with Expert Shield's protector for the rear LCD of the Sony A7II: applied without any difficulty, helped by comprehensive instructions on the packaging itself and on the company's website, including good advice, like doing the application in a slightly damp bathroom, to minimize dust! Fits perfectly (make sure you choose the right camera model in Amazon's drop-down menu!). The packaging also includes a lint-free cloth, a welcome extra which I don't think is mentioned in Amazon's product listing. Finally, I also had an e-mail from the company itself, checking everything was OK, which was very friendly. I should say, I've only had the protector on for a few days but it still looks as pristine. Also, I don't use the LCD for composing or focusing, so I can't comment on whether it affects the display - to my eyes, and for what I need, it doesn't get in the way at all - I only know it's there because I put it on. So 5 stars to Expert Shield - thanks!

Discrete and works exactly as described
I am possibly one of the first people to buy the Sony A7s MkII. On arrival I noted that the rear screen is susceptible to fingerprint marks, and possibly scratches too. A friend recommended Expert Shield to me, and the company have recently produced a protector for this new camera. It performs exactly as described, no bubbles, is practically invisible, fits perfectly and I am sure will provide good protection to the fragile screen. Thanks.

The product itself is fine, it does protect the glass
The product itself is fine, it does protect the glass. However, I bought this for the Sony A7II and the description says it's 'pre-cut to the size of this screen'.I'm not sure who cut / measured this but it's way off. Maybe 3 to 4mm too small on every side. So whilst the middle of the screen is now protected, it's the edges that are totally unprotected - and they're the bits that take the most knocks!
