Mostly, because I am lazy, and don't have time. I bought this vacuum for my janitorial company for very light work, I just needed it to be light weight. This vacuum was very light, lighter than any other backpack vacuum I have come across. It's for good reason, because it's all cheap plastic, the motor is small, and the attachments are small and fragile. I first tried out this vacuum at my house, and it did not pick up anything that a standard $50 upright vacuum would. It's as if the bag was full or something, I tried switching the bags, and it still had the same issue of not being powerful enough to pick anything up. I am not sure what this vacuum is made for, but it's not vacuuming. I am also not over exaggerating, when I say it really can't vacuum at all. Give it a try for yourself, if you're skeptical at my review, but I now have to deal with this return.
