The maps, illustrations and diagrams in this brief publication sum up for the interested amateur just what riches were found in the Princely Saxon grave near Southend a few years ago. Now on display at the Southend museum, this is a useful and fascinating book for the interested lay person.

Really well written book. If your interested in the Anglo Saxon period and local history this is worth a read, great details about the excavation of the site and the artefacts found.

Having heard about the exhibition on this archaeological discovery I have been looking for books on it. This is a good introduction.
