Gore Bike Wear Men's Plaster Ultra ll Short

I was looking for a mountain bike short that had pockets to carry riding supplies, I do not like wearing a hydration pack. There are 6 well designed pockets; they are deep and have plenty of room and all of the pockets can be either zipped or Velcroed closed . The only down side of the shorts was the padding, too bulky, I took it out and ride with rode bike padded shorts under the Gore Mountain Bike shorts. The shorts would be even better if they had belt loops. I found that the shorts are great for hiking; being able to wear a belt would allow to carry equipment in the pockets and on the belt with out the shorts slipping down from the weight.

I bought these as an "add-on purchase" to fill up my basket to get free delivery to Singapore ;}. One word: AWESOME!!! they are very thin for baggy MTB pants - but look superbe. They dry quite fast, when wet, and are super light to wear - ideal in the tropical environment I ride in. Would buy again - but they don't currently sell them at a decent price, in my size and international shipping... Will be on the look-out...

Great pair of bike shorts at an excellent price! After researching this product the fit and quality was exactly what I expected.

I bought these shorts because I needed a cargo short that better withstood the wear that comes from the various commutes that I make. I also liked the idea of having a little more comfort provided by the chamois and the option to remove the chamois as one does not like to be wearing a chamois all day.Pros:- The fabric seems to be very well suited to the task. It is also light, easy moving and quick drying. I bought Gore shorts as I hoped the fabric would be riding abrasion resistant and it is a bit early to judge that.- The item has downward-facing zips so that the pockets won't open whilst riding.- Construction and stitching seems to be well done.- Fit is okay and item looks pretty good.- I like the reflective detailing, but cannot judge as to its effectiveness.- The chamois does it's required job, when riding.- Pockets are quite large. One cargo pocket zip closure, the other cargo pocket velcro closure.Cons:- The chamois is attached to the mesh shorts liner which means that it is not flush with the body. This isn't really a problem when riding as the chamois is large and will cover the necessary areas. However, when off the bike it feels like one is wearing some form of weird adult diaper and pushes the front and back of the short in weird ways. Many reviewers have written of cutting the chamois down and I am considering doing that as well. I would say that the photo of the item is when it does not have the chamois inserted.- The pulls for adjusting the waist are elastic and do not stay set in the clasps meant to hold them - they work loose, little by little over time. There are many superior methods of making an adjustable waist that they could have gone with. If you fit the shorts perfectly then these will be good, but if you don't then the adjustment mechanism is a design flaw.- The cargo pockets are large, but when they have items in them (even quite small items) they bounce around quite a bit as one is riding. It's an annoyance more than an hindrance.- I have stopped putting the chamois in as it is too weird when off the bike.Overall, the shorts are okay. I would not pay this price again for them, but I probably would buy another pair if they were on sale / substantial discount as they look good enough when I'm not riding (My job requires smart-sport-casual with versatility and has a fair bit of commuting). The two big flaws are fit adjustment being inferior and the chamois cut/feel when off the bike.

Ich habe mir die GORE Short Plaster Ultra als Alternative zu meinen Radhosen geholt. ich bin der Typ Radfahrer, der zwei bis dreimal die Woche zur Arbeit fährt (15 km eine Strecke, meistens Strasse). Ich finde die Shorts nett aber nicht deutlich besser als eine konventionelle Radhose. Sicherlich vom Aussehen eine nette Alternative zur engen Variante, scheuert aber sehr im Oberschenkelbereich. Die tachen an den Seiten sind super und geräumig, der Sitz ist optimal. Ob der preis gerechtfertigt ist, darüber kann man streiten, denn das Produkt ist made in China, so dass die Produktionskosten nicht hoch sein können.Ich werde sicherlich noch ine weitere Bikeshorts ausprobieren, kann diese Shorts aber jedem Hobbyradler empfehlen, der wie ich zur Arbit fährt und nicht doof aussehen möchte.

Zu der Hose ist bereits alles geschrieben worden, da gibt es nichts neues zu berichten.Auch ich habe mir diese Hose zugelegt, wohlwissend des dünnen Polsters, des leichten Materials und des Raschelefekts.Mir war das dünne Sitpolster egal, weil ich ohnehin einen Bike-Slip darunter trage, was auf Mountainbiketouren in meiner Gegend nahezu unerlässlich ist.Die Hose habe ich für knapp 55 €uro erstehen können, bei diesem Schäppchenpreis kann ich über ein paar Kleinigkeiten hinwegsehen.Dafür ist sie optisch ein Kracher, verfügt über Taschen ohne Ende -so daß auch mein Handy einen Platz findet- (hatte meine alte Hose nicht) und reicht -daß war für mich wichtig- bis ans Knie.Sicher gibt es bessere Hosen, aber ich wollte kein Vermögen dafür ausgeben.Und zugegeben, ein bißchen Markenverschossen bin ich schon.

Die Hose ist aus gutem Material uns sieht schick aus. Die Taschen sind zahlreich und ausreichend groß. Allerdings kann man sie nmit keinen schwereren Gegenständen belasten (z.B. Fotokamera), da die Hose am Körper nur durch einen dünnen Gummiband gehalten wird. Die Polstereinlage ist recht dünn und schützt nicht vor Schmerzen nach 60km am harten Sattel, ich war aber froh, dass es sie doch gab. Wäre es nicht dieser hohe Preis, wären es vier Sterne.

Das wesentliche ist gesagt, die Radzeitung, die das Rascheln bemängelte, fährt wahrscheinlich nur im schallisolierten Büro. Viele Touren führen immer wieder an lärmenden Verkehrswegen entlang, da ist das Geräusch, welches die Ohren und der Helm machen schon lauter. Ich bin eine 110 km Tour gefahren, man hört da mittlerweile nicht mehr auf das Rascheln. Wichtiger Pluspunkt an der Hose ist die Handytasche, N8 drin und Sportstracker an- keinerlei Probleme mit der Aufzeichnung (alle Touren komplett vorhanden) und plötzlich einlaufendem Anruf ist gut hörbar. Schon dieses Detail erspart mir die Suche und den Kauf einer Halterung.
