I was worried about leaking after reading the posts. I have no leaks and here is what I did. I put a quick connect on in place of the chuck that was sent. I used teflon tapes on the threads. Used teflon tape on the threads on the hose going to the pistol handle. The real problem was where the supply threads into the bottom of the pistol handle. The Plastic on the handle does not let the fitting enter the treads at the correct angle. I took a sharp knife and beveled the plastic from the top of the threads away, at about 20 to 30 degrees. This gives the clearance needed to not cross thread the supply. The unit works great with no leaks.

Apparently the manufacturer assumes that the air chuck supplied with this inflator will work in all situations. It was installed with some type of pipe thread compound that made it nearly impossible to remove. For our use we must have a 90 degree type of air chuck, the straight type will not fit in our application.Aside from this the unit seems to be of very high quality and a good design. If you need to change the air chuck you will need to clamp the 9/16" hose end in a vise, trying to hold it with an open end wrench to remove the air chuck WILL NOT WORK!!!

I’ve had this for a year now. I’m 51 and bending down to air up tires sucks with my knees. It grips great. I can now stand up and do all that. And it’s nice if you go over a little you can easily deflate it to where you need instead of grabbing a screwdriver or using your fingernail to deflate them down. Highly recommended for a guy that goes in the woods all the time deflating and reflating my tires.

Bought this and only used it few times and now when you hook it to the valve stem you loose air out of the tire and gives a false reading. It's now useless.

It works great. The gauge locks on to the valve stem so you don't have to hold it on the stem

This one is a hit or miss for some people. Half pull deflates and full pull inflates, I typically slightly over-inflate and half pull deflate to ideal psi. The quick release chuck is working pretty well, no leaks. The screen automatically turns on when there's pressure on the chuck, which is nice. I use this off roading and so far so good. I have a Milton s506 as a backup and they both read about the same pressure at any elevation.
