simply awesome for skinning
I started to skin/gut a deer and after an 18 inch incision from the neck to the chest in 4 seconds my brother yelled slow down! He thought I was going to keep that pace past the stomach. I've never had someone yell slow down before, I'm usually hacking away with a lot more effort.Pro - used one blade on a deer, amazing sharpness.Con - not really a con, but you still need a regular knife for sternum etc. You really don't want to hit bone or it will dull quickly, so it's not a one knife solution, but I don't think most folks expect that anyway.

Great knife
My 2nd one of these. Broke the clip on the first one but I'm not easy on knives. Great product. Very sharp, easy to change blades.

Lightweight and perfectly sized tool
I had been shopping around for a dedicated gutting/carcass processing knife and handled about every one I could find, from the Gerber DTS and EBS to the Outdoor Edge and the Havalon Baracuta, Piranta, and Bolt. I have average to large hands, so I've been disappointed with several skeletonized or smaller skinning knives that seem more prone to make my hands cramp with lengthy work (like an elk). I wanted a lightweight, reasonably sized tool with a variety of blade options in a color that I wouldn't lose on the ground or in a carcass- the Bolt wins in all categories for me. It is solidly built but light, and the size fits me better than the Havalon Piranta without the overly large length of the Baracuta. It also offers both rounded and pointed blades, which I value for sparing my pelts from unintended punctures. My only disagreement with the Bolt is the presence of the pocket clip, which I will not use and only gets in my way. And since I've removed it, the Bolt is now perfect. This is the skinning tool I'm taking in search of Alaskan Moose.

No need to ever sharpen a hunting knife again!
This baby is sharp!! It comes with 12 blades, so i will never need to carry a field sharpener again. As a blade starts to get dull after caping or skinning, just pull it out and pop a new one in. The surgical blades do hold their edge longer than I thought they would. Simple and effective. Love this knife!!

Excellent filet knife
Excellent filet knife. Blades are easy to change and really sharp. I love being able to change out a blade once it is dull instead of sharpening it all the time. The bolt model is larger than the edge, which I prefer for my larger hands. A must have for anyone who hunts or fishes. Would buy again for sure.

Great knife and love the interchangeable blades
Great knife and love the interchangeable blades. The first knife I had I lost but the handle where the blade pivots was starting to crack. This may have been an issue in the long run but I figured since I had a bunch of blades from the first one that I would buy again. Blades are supper sharp and its great not having to resharpen. Just keep in mind that you cant use the blade for anything else other than to cut. Also, to change out the blade you will have to have extra blades with you and a pair of pliers. Something to consider.EDIT: I downgraded to 4 stars after owning two of these knives. The first I lost and I reordered. Before I lost it the knife developed a crack near the clip on the side of the knife, well the second one did too, both in less than a year with light use and no abuse that I can remember. If the crack ends up effecting the usefulness of the knife I will update again. I still feel its a good knife for the price, just be careful because they are sharp.
