Very happy with this
This is a really unique distortion pedal. The boost is excellent and really pushes the amp. Actually with the boost and distortion channels it's like having two pedals in one and you get a lot of tonal options. I think this nails the old marshall sound pretty well. There also a lot of low end making it very dynamic. It's expensive but I'm really glad I have it. It's different from most pedals out there...but in a good way.

awesome pedal!!!
Quite possibly one of the best pedals I have ever played. I have it teamed up with a full drive 2, so I have light and heavy distortion, perfect for every situation. The Box Of Rock, is a great remedy of the MUD! If you have any mud in your tone due to you od or distortion pedal, the BOR will take care of it, no matter how much you turn up the gain channel.I recommend to aleast try this pedal, or just buy it.

AH--MAZING
This little pedal is exactly what it says, a box of rock. Best sounding distortion I've played. Not muddy, and it has the same boost circuit as the "super hard-on," so it's like two pedals in one. The boost is incredibly loud, so be careful at first. My only gripe: the switches are too close together, so I have to be careful when it's solo time. I always keep it on, and just adjust the volume knob on my guitar. Love it!

Great pedal!
Excellent "plexi" pedal. It's almost scary how close it sounds to a cranked Jtm 45. Everything arrived in perfect condition

Sounds awesome, enclosure slightly too small IMO
I use this primarily with Stratocasters, and it works really well. When I need a big sound, and don't have a humbucking pickup to get it, this does a great job of adding that "bigness" I'm after - without being unruly or overly woolly. It's got more grit than an overdrive, and less than most fuzzes. I've had this for a few years, and it's been a staple on my main board.CONS:- Small size makes it a little cramped. The buttons are so close to the knobs, and to each other, that it's hard to stomp accurately in a live situation. I have to have it in the front row of my board to have any shot at hitting the buttons and not the knobs.PROS:- Small size means it doesn't take up a lot of board space, which is nice.- Sounds awesome. Lots of gain, but warm - not icepicky or brittle. What I like most is that while it's a lot of sound, I don't lose definition like I do with other distortions.- One unexpected plus is that it does really well at low volumes. I run this into a VHT Special 6 Combo Amplifier, 6 Watts or a Vox AC4TVH 4W Variable Class Amplifier Head with Vox V112TV 1X12" Guitar Speaker Cabinet Cream and I feel like I'm playing a bigger amp, but at a volume that doesn't wake up our newborn.- Batteries last forever.- Boost has enough volume to use as a lead boost, unlike another pedal I reviewed, the Fulltone Fulldrive2 MOSFET Overdrive/Clean Boost Guitar Effects Pedal Blue - where "boost" is more of a gain boost than a volume boost. In short, I'm a big fan. I own the Vexter version, but have played the handpainted versions too, and notice no sonic difference. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the buttons really are awfully close together. Some players might not mind that tradeoff for a great sounding pedal with a smaller footprint, and I totally get that - but for me it keeps me from stepping on it as much as maybe I should. If I could've taken off half a star, I would've. It's a great pedal though, and worth the money in my opinion.
