I've been using this tablet for a month now and it has worked fine - so I will share the less commonly used aspects and what I have done to suit my needs.But first - Seller - Hot Deals Direct fulfilled by Amazon (Seller is often different, depending on available stock in Amazon warehouse but I would "only buy" if "fulfilled by Amazon").------ CaseI wouldn't buy a tablet without a decent case straight away to keep it in for protection and I like my selection.I purchased the Kamor® 7" PU Leather Stand Case + Micro USB Keyboard with Touch Screen Stylus Pen.I didn't find any suggested cases so I tried this one. I didn't care about a keyboard but I'm glad I have it.The Amazon image for this case is old/wrong anyway. In "response" to feedback it has changed - a lot.There is now a tab on the left side to prevent a tablet from falling out that way and on the right are now elastic loops at the top and bottom.The tablet is too short to reach or fit under the elastic but the spring loaded tab at the top holds the tablet securely enough that turning it sideways and moderate shaking doesn't move it. I have about an inch from the right edge of the case (that is with the stylus pen stored between the left tab and tablet which is the only place to store it anyway IMHO.I don't mind because it leaves the keyboard plug recessed enough that it won't get broken off as some reviewers complain happens. The space lets me put a few labels to mark what plugs go where without head scratching and squinting. The included keyboard adapter is not needed for this tablet - a big plus.It has already survived a drop from the coffee table and I'm content it is my best choice.------ HDMII plan to use this for business and use the HDMI to connect to large screens to review (Computer Aided Designs) with others. I can leave this with them without worry of loosing expensive equipment and (with Wi-Fi off) sending confidential files over the internet unneeded.I purchased the HDMI cable "BlueRigger High Speed Mini HDMI to HDMI cable with Ethernet (6 Feet)" and connected to an older Dell 1708FP. Choosing 720 resolution the image was fine but would not connect at 1080. Connection at 1080 on my ViewSonic VX2250WM-LED was fine.I also purchased a "StarTech.com HDMIDVIFM HDMI to DVI-D Video Cable Adapter - F/M" adapter for output when a HDMI monitor is not available. It works fine on the HDMI cable for multi-input or DVI-D input only monitors.Indoors the tablet screen is vivid and clear but the attached monitor views are breathtaking (and easy on the eyes for reading). I would rather watch the monitor than the tablet when working (I am after all in my 50's and tiny tablet text is a cruelty to me - even so the text on the tablet is easily readable with my regular reading glasses and at all reasonable angles).------ Wi-FiI didn't have any Wi-Fi hardware and was loathe to try jumping through hoops with my ISP to use their hardware and change my configurations and everything involved.I bought a "Etekcity High Power 802.11 B/N/G 300M USB Wireless 1000mw Wifi Network Adapter with Dual Antenna" to plug into my (only) computer. A desktop with 3mbps download hardwired to the internal network card. I tried and could use a free application to share my network connection from the desktop but chose "Connectify Dispatch Pro" because it lets me watch connections and view transfer speed information.Download speed was about 2.8 mbps - just a little off from the desktop download speed.I only connect to download or update software. I use the USB connection to the desktop for charging and file transfers.When I'm done with being online with the tablet I close Connectify and unplug the Wi-Fi network adapter.------ SummaryMinimal cost - Minimal fuss - maximum flexibility. It does everything it is supposed to do and I am happy.When I upgrade my internet speed I'll get a second one to hook my senior Mother up with TV (monitor) in her room as she becomes less mobile. Just need to add external speakers. ### ⭐ A Terrible Investment *by C***K on Reviewed in the United States on January 15, 2014* I've never so much as held a tablet or smartphone before I got this tablet, so obviously there was somewhat of a learning curve and and it took me a while to get used to a touchscreen. But when I did, it was awesome.It arrived waaaaay earlier than I expected; only two days after I ordered it, even though I went for the standard 5-8 day shipping. I don't know if it was because I ordered it on Christmas Day, but it certainly made the end of last year great for me.I haven't had a problem with the battery life yet, but I always have it plugged it when it's off or not really in use. It has a lot of storage space, but with all the apps I put on it, I'll probably have to get an TF card for any music or pictures I want to put on it, but that doesn't really bother me, either, since I was planning on that already. My only real concern is how hot the back gets when running certain apps. Once, when I was playing music from a music streaming app, it got so hot it felt like I burned my hand on the back (I didn't actually, so no worries). I think this has more to do with the apps themselves, however; I have since switched to a different music app and it doesn't get nearly as warm.Also, even though I saw nothing listed about it, it came with a drawstring case, a pair of headphones, and a cleaning cloth, as well as the USB cord and AC adapter. I don't know if this is a common thing, but it certainly surprised me.3/20/2014 EDIT:Okay, so after writing this review, I had a whole ton of problems occur. First, after getting a micro SD card for it, it stopped working properly, so I hard reset it as per the instructions in the manual. This caused it to become completely useless, and it acted as if all the essential files to make it work were gone. The launcher stopped working, and the settings could not be accessed.I contacted the manufacturer about what had happened and I got a response after a couple days, with instructions to send the tablet and the charger back. I did, and luckily the shipping cost wasn't bad at all since I live relatively near them, and within a few days I got it back; or rather, I got a replacement. This one was 4GB, nearly half the space I had in the other one, but it did seem to work better. I tried setting it up with my micro SD, but it caused some problems and I had to soft reset it, which actually fixed it and didn't cause any more issues as long as I kept the SD card out of it. Now it works fine, with some minor app crashes every now and then (usually after updates so I don't think that's the tablet's fault), but still great.Today the AC adapter broke. The little 'metal' pin that plugs into the tablet itself literally broke off like cheap plastic. I have to charge it primarily through the USB cord now, which can be a bit of a hassle considering my desk setup. I don't think I'll have any problems getting a replacement, but this is just getting ridiculous. I don't think I'll be buying anything else from Double Power. My friends and family all suggest that a tablet that is a bit more expensive and sturdier would be a better investment, and I am totally inclined to agree.3/24/2014 EDIT:It has crashed completely and will not boot past the splash screen. There is no option of entering a recovery mode and I have tried every button combo available.
