This is a good canned sauce. I'm not quite sure what some other reviewers are referring to when the say it has a taste of truffle. Mine didn't have any. It's nowhere on the label, and I probably wouldn't have purchased had I seen that.Now this is a pizza sauce. I bought it primarily for dipping. Pizza sauce should be rather smooth, and this sauce isn't just a little bit chunky. It's not a deal breaker, but it is worth noting.I'm not a huge fan of carrots in tomato sauce. It's a nice change every once in a while, but I can taste the carrots. It seems a bit out of place on a pizza.I'm picky about tomatoes. I cook with them a lot, and there are times when I just prefer a canned sauce because the satisfaction I'd get out of a homemade sauce for something like dipping cheese sticks isn't worth the work I'd put into it. This sauce works okay for dipping. It's not my favorite because I can taste the carrots.I actually made a pizza with it, though, and when it's used as a medium to join the meat, sauce, cheese, and crust together, it's texture is better than what I can make from scratch. The flavor is almost there. I added some fresh basil and oregano to it, but it lies just a bit short on the "tang" factor.That said, it still made an excellent pizza. To me, a good tomato sauce is all about how it melds with what you're applying it to. Since it worked so well on a pizza, I would have to imagine it would well with a pasta like cavatappi, though possibly a bit too think for spaghetti. I'd probably add some fresh onion and garlic to it, though, if I was going to use it as a pasta sauce.

This is a good brand of pasta sauce. I do not know if it really has anything to do with the artist sandro botticelli, but i have tried a few of their flavors and had good results. The sauce is thick, almost pasty. It works well for me, because my noodles are usually a little watery after i drain them. The bit of water mixes with the sauce and it blends together well. This particular flavor has a little truffle in it. It is a pretty good flavor.

This is one of the best pasta sauces I've had. I will definitely be looking for it in the stores this time. So tasty. 🤤🤤🫠

I hate jarred tomato sauces (even Rao's), but this is one of the better jarred sauces I've come across.

I love this pasta sauce and have it in my cupboard all the time, not just in my Whole30 months. Flavor is great!!!! I try to avoid unnecessary added sugar in sauces and prepared food as much as possible so this is a great resource.

I always doctor up my jar spaghetti sauce with some onions, garlic, tomatoes and additional herbs. But including this sauce as part of my personal more plant-based lifestyle was a big win! I got so many compliments for the sauce and it was gone in one meal. I’ll be stocking my pantry with this sauce.

Bought this sauce because the Whole Foods Vodka sauce was out of stock, sadly. I really love that sauce, because I love more of the taste of tomatoes and vodka. This Botticelli sauce leans too much into the dairy for flavor (i.e. the cheese and cream).The sauce is nice and thick, but I can't really taste the tomatoes (or vodka) like I'd prefer. Just not for me. Also, it's very high in sodium (due to the dairy).

This is a very good Pesto, and unlike many on the market, a good value. This seller understands the challenges of shipping in glass containers...the 2 pack of this product arrived in perfect condition, lids sealed with specialty tape, encased in bubble wrap, and in a sturdy box, and then a shipping box...no disappointment with broken containers or leakage... and no need to deal with replacement or refund...great! About the taste, again very good...fresh and properly balanced flavor. You might be surprised at how little is required to achieve properly seasoned pasta or gnocchi (in my case I do add a little melted butter, but that is a personal preference). So go ahead, try this Pesto.
