Hardy Gallery World Map Wall Art: Old Blue Painting/Print on Wrapped Canvas is an interesting piece for an office, living room, or a bedroom. In our case, it is hanging on the wall of the younger teen's bedroom. It looks terrific and he really likes it. The piece is a wrapped canvas over a wooden frame. The canvas is 24" X 36" and it asks for attention. The background is painted in a rough navy blue over which is printed a world map in white. The gold foil trims on the map are hand-applied by the artist. The effect is a rustic look that is just great.The teen was ready for a re-do of his decor and this canvas map piqued his interest. The navy and gold colors worked with the color scheme in his room and it has the more sophisticated feel he wanted. It was hung on the wall above his computer desk so he gets to look at easily and he finds the painting technique most interesting. He is very happy with this art piece and I am very happy for him. This has been a successful "art" acquisition.

I didn't read the entire description. It's not wood. It's canvas. It's too much money for canvas. It is pretty but looks inexpensive.

When this arrived, I couldn't wait to see what it actually looked like. It was hard for me to get a real good idea because of the metallic process used for the country's on the print. I didn't know if they were gonna be to shiny, and just not look right at all. When it came out of the box, I could immediately see my worries were for nothing. Although it is a metallic coating on the country's on the map, they hardly look out of place, and fit in nicely with the rest of the basically blue print. The canvas was stretched nicely across the frame, especially since this is a larger picture at 45" wide and 30" tall. We were excited to see how nice this was, and that it is made pretty well. I am not sure of the price of this, but if I recall, it was well under $100 bucks, and even at $80 to $90 (just a guesstimate, I have no idea what this will sell for when it becomes available) is worth the price. This is about to be hung in our family room, as soon as I get the walls painted. A great looking vintage replica of a world map. We're very pleased!

I'm a world traveler and I absolute love the world and all its splendors. When I saw this wall art that was a map of our dear Earth, I jumped at the chance to get it. It was delivered promptly and without damage. The map is beautiful and was big enough to serve as the center piece in my living room and was easy to hang with the included screws. What's extra awesome is that when the lighting is low or nonexistent, the continents are shiny and sort of pop out in the darkness. It must be some sort of metallic print material. Day or night, this thing can be seen. Highly recommend.
