In summary, definitely the best value with tight clean sub bass to fill out the lower octaves but not for rattling windows and disturbing the neighbors - as far as under seat mounting subwoofers are concerned. FYI, I referenced these to my kicker 8 inch and popular 8 inch rockwood under seat amplified slim subwoofers in my other cars. This cerwin vega vpas12 will not disappoint. Definitely a buy. Although Not quite the same sub-bass articulation in the 20 - 30 hz range like my 10 inch JL w3 but is very musical with tight bass with good slam suitable for all music types without booming as in ported enclosures. It did rattle my tesla model x a little but really not a fair fight as the jl is in a customized fiberglass box with an old school fosgate amp. Anyhow surprisingly these come as a close 2nd and will satisfy the needs of most people even some audiophiles provided you set it up properly. Details below.Firstly, I was skeptical to buy as I wasn't sure which subwoofer it was based on Amazon's image description. These are actual pictures of the subwoofer you will get.Secondly, they are 10.5 inches but there's a passive radiator below which does extend bass output and cone area without increasing box dimensions. Cool and innovative feature for what it is worth. See pics.Thirdly, for the price I paid this is excellent value.for what you get as everything's included including remote bass knob and speak level input adapter.Specs: Fits fine underneath the model x driver seat. I set the crossover to 85 hz as the stock model x speakers are pretty good in stock form reproducing bass down to probably 40 - 60 hz range. The bass knob is at 3/10 and there is plenty of power left. I think tbe built-in the amp is probably putting out probably a realistic 150 watts RMS but again I am old-school as my dsm fosgate amps are rated like 50 watts but they rattle windows easily.FYI my tesla model x and s sound systems are great in stock form but definitely these subs are necessary ro fill out the lower octaves. Lets you feel and hear the bass. Overall If you are a more mature bass listener and don't want put a box in the trunk You won't be disappointed with vega vpas12.

Terrible, have had and installed speakers for over 25 years..always trusted the brand...i bought it because of the price had it in my bedroom for about 5 months and then bought and connected to stock radio on ‘13 Rav4...great sound for about three months, (I don’t pump system as im done w all that) never got past 45 out of 60 on my dial...one day i turned on and it was done...blown speaker...think they may be using ild surplus on re conditioned units...my order hit year bought by and has no warranty...just stay away...

Just don’t even waste your time with this seller Audio Watt Inc. After installing two of these I had to call customer support at Crutchfield to have him walk me through some troubleshooting tips. To come to the conclusion that BOTH amplifiers are shot. Refunding my crap purchase and buying them from a reputable dealer this time around..Hope this helps you save your time...

Easy install but I have 6.5 jbl club door speakers on 20watts that hit harder
