Promotes a great sleep
I bought this white noise machine to help me sleep, and it’s been a great purchase. It has a nice variety of sounds, so I was able to find a couple that I actually enjoy instead of just settling for one. The sounds are smooth and don’t have that obvious loop that some cheaper machines have. I also like that the volume has a lot of adjustment levels. Whether you want just a little background noise or something louder to block out other sounds, it’s easy to get it just right. The memory feature is a nice touch too since it turns back on with the last settings I used. It’s compact, simple to use, and doesn’t take up much space on my nightstand. Overall, it’s a solid white noise machine that does exactly what I was looking for, and I’d definitely recommend it if you’re trying to sleep better or just want some relaxing background noise.

Simple white noise machine that works well
I picked this up because I wanted something to help drown out random background noise at night, and it’s been working really well for that. There are a good number of sounds to choose from, so I was able to find a couple that I actually like listening to instead of just settling for basic white noise. The sound quality is pretty good for such a small machine, and I really like that the sounds don’t have an obvious loop that keeps repeating. The volume range is also more than enough for a bedroom. The memory feature is convenient too since I don’t have to keep resetting everything every time I turn it on. It’s small, easy to use, and does exactly what I wanted. Nothing overly complicated, which is honestly a plus. Definitely happy with it for the price.

Small and compact, along with being very loud. Perfect combo!
*UPDATE TO REVIEW 10.16.2026* The machine finally died after nightly use for 34 months, over roughly 1,000 nights of continuous use for 8+ hours. The noise output started getting lower recently, even after turning the volume all the way up. It finally died last night. It would turn on and 5 seconds later it would shut off. This machine will be missed, it was a worthwhile purchase either way for $19.99. I may try the new version that is now available by Magicteam that has a $10 premium, or venture out into a new product potentially. I hope everyone else is able to get 1,000+ nights/8,000+ hours of use out of their machines! *UPDATE TO REVIEW 3.29.2025* I have used this machine for 15 months now. There have been no issues with sound quality deteriorating, and no issues with the machine turning off in the middle of the night. It has worked perfectly at home and in multiple US hotels, along with it working in Barcelona, Spain and Rome, Italy with an EU Travel Adapter (link to adapter that I used and was functioning abroad: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B8SLNBDP?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1) *ORIGINAL REVIEW* This noise machine is amazing! It's small but so loud, which has been an issue with other noise machines I've tried (Homedics SoundSleep sound machine I'm looking at you!) I will buy this machine again once the original model that I purchased stops working. This is an outlet noise machine, which you can plug into any standard two-prong home outlet in the United States. The cord is long enough that it reaches the outlet by my bedside. You can buy a longer USB to micro connecter cord if that is an issue for you, as this machine provides the outlet attachment for the USB end when you purchase it. One other thing to note is that this does NOT have a rechargeable/removeable battery. If the manufacturer of this noise machine is able to make it a hybrid outlet-to-battery switchable machine without sacrificing sound quality it would be a perfected sound machine in my opinion. I use this machine every evening. There are 20 different sound options, but I only use the white noise option at the highest noise level and I believe the price for that fixed setting alone is well worth the price that was paid ($19.99 after $2 coupon before tax). I get sound sleep every night with this machine. The machine muffles the noise of falling-rain hitting my bedroom window, tree branches tapping on my bedroom window, people galivanting in the hallways in hotels, etc. My wife tells me she can't hear me breathing/snoring when this machine is on which is a big win for both of us. We have taken this with us on vacation/traveling and the machine plugs right into an outlet and works the same as it does at home. There are multiple sound timer options on this machine which shows up along the bottom of the machine under the power/timer button. When you see 1-5 white dots, that'll tell you how many hours the machine will run before it stops (1 dot = 1 hour). When you don't see any dots, that is when it is on a constant loop and will not shut off until you unplug the machine or hold the power button to shut it off. I keep my machine on loop throughout the night and have yet to have an issue with the machine turning off unexpectedly. These are perfect gifts for people who can't sleep in silence or have lots of background noise going on in their home. I would suggest this item over other machines based on the volume level and the price.

Small but mighty
This is a nice little machine with a good sound. I like all the features and ability to set the timer to what I want. I like most of the sounds and find them relaxing but it's kind of a pain to have to scroll through all the sounds to get back to the one I like but that's not a deal breaker. I like that it's compact and will travel well when going places.

A quality noise machine for an affordable price
I'm really enjoying this white noise machine. Previously, I was just using the Heavy Rain Videos on YT to provide some background noise to help me fall asleep. For a little backstory, we recently were awarded custody of my father-in-law, and he has a tendency to watch TV or listen to videos at all hours of the night (and is fairly hard of hearing). I was waking up to loud explosions, canned laughter, music, etc. at around 3:30 - 4:15am several nights a week. Euthanasia was not an option. My problem with the YT videos was that at different points, they would play commercials, jump to another video, or just turn off completely. Enter the Magicteam Sound White Noise Machine. This device has plenty of volume to drown out almost all disruptions. Also, it has a nice variety of sounds ranging from a blanket white noise to replications of several natural sounds (rain, river, beach, etc.). I have noticed that different placement of the Noise Machine will yield different results. Currently I have it close to ground level on a bookshelf in a corner across the room from my bed. This seems to be the most effective location for drowning out noise from the first floor of the house, but not sounding overbearing when I give it a little extra volume. I could see placing it higher up if we were in a one story house and the noise was coming through the side walls. Overall, I give this a five star rating based on price, sound quality, volume, and ease of operation. It obviously doesn't sound like an expensive speaker from a premium audio brand, but it does the job, and for a little over $25 it does the job surprisingly well.

This Little Black Box is Magical
One of the best items I've ever spent money on. I was having trouble sleeping at one point, and for a while would turn the fan on in my bathroom and let it run all night, to provide white noise, and also to block out the repetitive sounds my senior dog makes lol. (For context, she is very old and had some teeth pulled, so she smacks her mouth and lips a lot. She also can get anxious sometimes and likes to lick her bed because it helps soothe her. None of that is her fault and I don't hold it against her, but as you can imagine, the sounds are not the greatest thing to hear when trying to fall asleep haha.) Anyways, I'm a very worrisome person and I began to get paranoid that leaving my bathroom fan on all night could be a potential fire hazard. So I stopped using it and began looking into noise machines. I looked at so many different kinds and eventually settled on this one. It ended up being perfect and is everything I wanted, plus more. Some cool features: You can change the timer for how long it stays on, or set it to just run all night, which is my go to setting. If you do set a timer, the white noise it creates doesn't just stop suddenly, it slowly fades out so not to disturb your sleep, which I think is a really cool part of its design. The volume buttons are easy to locate and do exactly what they're supposed to do. It also has a plethora of different sounds to use. My most favorite is the sound of heavy rain fall. I also use the bathroom fan sound quite a lot as well. Another feature I like is that it doesn't have a ton of bright lights on it. If you choose to turn the timer on, it will show a very faint dot based on which timer you pick. Because I let it run all night, there aren't any faint dots that show up. It's also very travel friendly, very similar to tossing a phone in your bag with its charger and walking out the door. I'll most likely buy a second one in the upcoming months for when I travel, that way my other one can stay at home. As far as sound quality goes, I give this noise machine a 10/10. The noises aren't scratchy or grating, but very natural and soothing. I've not had any issues with the volume or adjusting it and the speaker sounds great too. This little box has been a game changer for me in terms of falling asleep more easily, and I'm really glad I purchased it. If you're worried about it being complicated to use, don't be. It's super easy to setup, and basically plug and play. I've said it already, but I'm really happy with this purchase and it's definitely one of the best items I've spent money on. It's a quality item at a reasonable price and I couldn't be happier with it. Please Note: I was not paid to write this review. I was not given free merchandise to write this review. I wrote this review solely because I enjoyed this product and am very happy with my purchase.

Died after 3 months; replacement seems fine (so far)
Updated Review (February 1, 2023): The replacement unit is still working perfectly (had it since July 2022). Since I have the most upvoted critical review, I'm not going to change my star rating to make sure this continues to get seen. But, based on the replacement unit's success, if I was going to change my rating, I'd bump it up to a 4. It would never get a 5 due to all the design issues described in my review, but a solid 4 seems fair. Updated Review (November 7, 2022): Against my better judgment, I bought a replacement unit after my original died within 3 months of purchase (see below). Happy to report the new one has stayed working fine. The question is, was the original's failure a random defect or are they all cheap junk? I don't know. I originally rated it 5 stars, then slammed it down to 1, but am tentatively revising it back up to a 3 for as long as the replacement continues to work... Updated Review (July 22, 2022): This item worked great until it died roughly 3 months after I bought it. Didn't drop it. Was extremely careful with it, and it still stopped working. Extremely disappointing! Original Review: My idiot neighbor recently bought a subwoofer and uses it to blast his bass 24/7, making my life a living hell. You can't hear it once you step outside my apartment. Because of that, my landlord and I can't figure out exactly which neighbor is causing the problem. You can't even hear it when you listen at people's doors, and the way these subwoofers work, it's hard to pinpoint where they're coming from (unless they're in a car). Total nightmare! Apparently, we can't evict all my neighbors, so until I can move, I bought this device to help me sleep and get through my days working from home. It works pretty well until the neighbor pumps up his bass beyond this sound machine's ability to drown it out. Even then, it eventually allows me to drift back to sleep, so it's a lifesaver at making the best of a bad situation. It works! While it can't completely eliminate the subwoofer's vibrations, it does help enough I can (usually) tune it out enough to work or sleep. It instantly became the "big gun" in my anti-noise arsenal featuring ear plugs, fans, plus the Atmosphere app on my phone and tablet that run white noise and nature sound effects. This device has a ton of colored noise (white, pink, brown) and nature sound effects (water, storm, flames, trains, etc.). The issue here is there is no menu and you have to use direction arrows to find the track you want. You also can't play more than one track at a time, unlike the apps I use. But, this thing is LOUD. As loud or as low as I want it. It's basically a powerful speaker in a tiny, palm-sized box. Best of all, there are no weird, intermittent clicks or other annoying noises because these sounds do not loop. It's just pure and smooth endless sound. It has a time that goes up to 5 hours in 1 hour increments. For continuous play, you just hold the power button down once all 5 timer lights are on, then let it go. If you hold the power button down too long, the device shuts off. >> Everyone who complains about the device shutting off after a few hours needs to check and make sure none of the 5 lights on the front are lit up while it's on. Each light indicates 1 more hour of play time. If you keep pressing past 5 lights, they all go off, and that's how you get continuous (all night) play. << Based on the reviews and FAQ, the main issue everyone seems to have is there is no internal battery. That means it's a brick unless you have a power source: either a wall outlet, USB port, or portable power bank. This makes it less convenient for traveling or portability than it could be, but it is what it is, and I'm sure the lack of internal battery is what keeps the cost down. It's still a bargain for what it does. So 5 stars for the device at home, and 3 stars for traveling with it. PS: I've read it's also fragile, so don't drop it or yank on the power cord. But, if you do, at least it's cheap to replace... hopefully not before you've had some good use out of it. Keep children and pets away from it and you should be fine. UPDATE (May 2, 2022): Still working good! My only real complaint after almost a month of daily use is the buttons are too close together with no embossed icons to help tell them apart. That means it's super-easy to hit the wrong button, or multiple buttons, especially if you're fumbling with it in the dark. I think this is the reason why many people are complaining about the device randomly shutting of in the night... because they accidentally turned the timer on while trying to adjust the volume or sound effect. I know, because this has happened to me repeatedly. Despite this design flaw, I still recommend the device.

Wish I'd gotten it sooner
Play it every night to fall asleep and stay that way. Excellent purchase, exceedingly glad I got it. Love that it's so small I can easily bring it on travels. Controls are easy to use and understand, and it's chargeable by USB. Highly recommend, especially if you're entering the season where you don't necessarily want a fan on while your sleeping; this little thing takes care of the background sound you're looking for.

Awesome little machine
This white noise machine really works. I love the nature sounds, great for relaxing, but the white noise is so effective for a good nights sleep. My husband says he sleeps better as well. It seems to muffle outside noises. I chose this because of the various sounds and it is non looping. Very happy.

Very small but very impressive!
It’s a great size for either at home or traveling, uses a USB. Excellent variety of sounds and great volume. Much better than more expensive models, really good for drowning out noises overnight. I can’t sleep without it!
