Strong, a little tippy in the woods
So far very durable. I have grossly exceeded the size of log that you're supposed to use on this, and it's held up well. I've had a 10 ft long 8-in diameter iron wood log in it, and the only complaint that I have is the stabilizer foot could be wider. But it does work and work well.

Amazing purchase
I live in the woods so I cut down dead trees and cut up my own firewood regularly. This thing is an awesome tool that I'm glad I came across. Assembly wasn't too hard and I got to using it right away. So far I've put pieces of trees about 12 inches or so and 8 feet long on it and it holds them steady no problem. No more of the chainsaw getting pinched as i get close to cutting thru, no more holding the logs steady while i cut. This has made cutting up the trees and branches super easy and fast. It folds up nice and slim when not needed and then just unfolds and needs 2 pins to be ready for use. I recommend this to anyone who cuts up their own firewood and all regularly.

More like a 3 and a half rating rather a four
First off, the bad: When I started the assembly, the first bolt that I needed was missing and it wasn't one that I could easily replace on my own. I called Olympia Tools, left a message on their website, emailed and didn't get a positive response back that they would replace the missing bolt, but after about a week and a half a package just showed up with the replacement bolt and a few extra assorted bolts that I didn't need as well. Some kind of communication that it was on it's way would have been nice. The instructions could be a bit more detailed and the accompanying pictures a bit bigger and clearer but the only real fustration I had actually putting it together was getting the back legs on the unit. They are suppose to insert into the upright but the workmanship on the uprights wasn't exact and I had to hammer the legs into the upright units just to get the bolt holes to line up. That is almost the last thing you do to assemble it so it was very fustrating to get so far along with the possibility that I couldn't complete the assembly after all. A bit of pounding (and cursing) eventually turned the trick and the assembly was finished successfully. Now the good: It works fine. It folds for storage and only weighs 28 pounds so it's easy to carry to wherever you need it and open it up. I'm a 65 year old 5'6" woman in good condition but not a bodybuilder or power lifter by any means. It really helps to take the strain off your back while bucking firewood and prevents the chainsaw from accidentally touching the ground and dulling the chain. I'm never going to get a 660 lb log onto the sawhorse (the maximum weight it claims to hold) because I wouldn't be able to drag that much weight to the saw horse, but I've cut logs as long as 12 feet and 10" in diameter with no problem. Repositioning the chain for each new log takes a moment because of the latching mechanism that locks the chain on upward movement, but otherwise it's pretty quick and easy to set up for cutting multiple logs one after the other. I haven't yet tried cutting multiple small logs at once yet so I'm not sure how that will work but it claims you can do that. It seems steady and secure as I cut. I would recommend this for how it works. but not really happy about the problem with missing parts and the assembly issues.

Forest Mater 80-834 Ultimate Saw Horse
For anyone serious about logging work this is a MUST tool. It's Solid and well made. Will probably last a life time. I give this 5 stars for what it is but 2 stars for Ass embly. It was a pain in the .... putting this together. I gave up after an hour - next day had my friend come over who is way more handy than I am and it took the both of us 2 hours to put it together. There are 3 sizes of Screws and after it was finally together we figured out there were a few screws in places they did not belong. So we simply undid them and changed them out. In "theory" this should only take 20 minutes but you need 4 arms at least and as you assemble like a puzzle it gets easier - basically it's "Tricky" try to get a LARGE sized hex key as well the 1/2 inch is not big enough for the largest screws. The Screws are not labeled so one has to guess the size and where which ones go where. Directions are small and vague. Personally I am REALLY bad at putting things together - - with that said it's all done and this is a keeper item worth every penny. PS. If anyone knows why mine will not fold please let me know - maybe cause I tightened all three bolts on the legs?? This thing is solid weighs at least 30 lbs - I would not even consider dis assembling it ever - put it in your pickup and go - if folded (which I can not figure out how to do) it will fit in a car. Can't wait to use it when the weather thaws out. January 22, 2014 Paid $129.00 on Amazon with shipping.

Be Careful Putting it Together
The sawhorse works well and is a clever design. However, if the instructions are followed in tightening the bolts on the base piece, the welds holding the tabs can be broken. I corresponded with the manufacturer regarding this and was told that they would ship a replacement part. They have not done so in spite of multiple correspondences.

Excellent product
Iโve sawed quite a few logs on this saw horse now and love it. My back feels great and my saw chain is staying sharp. Very sturdy and well built. Easy to use and makes bucking logs quick and easy. Assembly was easy, but because of previous reviews that reported issues putting it together, I actually read the instruction. Would recommend.

The sawhorse works well once assembled. Shipped with one bad nut and bolt. Assembly is difficult.
THIS IS A REVISED REVIEW. REVISED FROM ONE STAR TO FOUR STARS: The sawhorse works well once assembled. It has a clever design that holds the log in place with "teeth" and a chain. Much of the heavy lifting of the log is avoided because you push down on 1/3 of the log to lock it in place rather than lifting it to get it into the horizontal position. Assembly was difficult, because the directions don't show the correct angles of the pieces prior to inserting the bolts. So, I was quite perplexed trying to read the diagrams, and there was a lot of trial and error. I needed help from someone else to connect the rear legs and rear base to the unit because the main portion had to be held in place, otherwise it would fall over. I would have given this 5 stars except for the assembly hassles. Note: one bolt and locking nut was defective for the rear leg base. I replaced it from a local hardware store.

Very poor quality control!
I was unable to assemble this product due to a significant manufacturing defect. The screw holes on the chain holder cross-brace were not drilled properly. (The holes in both legs however, were correct and symmetrical.) In the photo, you can see just how far off the legs were. They should of course be parallel! In order to get this fixed properly, the holes would need to be welded closed and then re-drilled in the correct position. So, weld, grind, drill, and refinish. I didn't have the time or patience to fool around with this. It's wood cutting season not welding season and I have a lot of wood cutting to do. Another issue concerned the hardware that came with the sawhorse which had a mix of 35 and 40 mm bolts which was not in accordance with the parts list in the instructions. The final issue I have with this item is the very high price. At the time of this review, the sawhorse was being sold by Forest Master for ยฃ79.95 which is about $110 Canadian Dollars but I had to pay over double that amount! Pretty sad the way Canadian customers get treated!

Works well, but assembly is a pain.
The sawhorse works well, but assembly was difficult as several holes did not line up properly. The worst case of this is the holes for the removable pins in the folding legs, they were so far off that I had to use a rotary tool to expand one side of each hole. Once assembled, it serves its purpose very well, but quality control needs to be improved in the manufacturing process.
