The Middle Pillar: The Balance Between Mind and Magic
P**.
The Middle Pillar
The book should be required reading for anyone considering entering the realm of the occult, which deals with the psychological mental aspect of magic. I like this expanded version which includes Egyptian pentagram ritual, and on page 236 the list of deity correspondences with the various spiritual paths from Kemet, Celtic, Norse and Hindu.

Much more than just The Middle Pillar
The value of this book lies not just in the Middle Pillar exercise and the Lesser Banishing Ritual. As you go through this book you will discover so much more. You may be interested to know how Jung bridged the gap between spirituality and psychology with his many concepts. I find this chapter alone to be worth many times the value of this book, particularly the picture of the Jungian model, which justifies buying the book. You will learn about the process of individuation in easy to understand language, our meeting with the shadow, and the higher self, and dealing with archetypes. Also included are ideas from other psychiatrists such as the controversial Wilhelm Reich, who is well worth knowing about in spite of all that happened. If you want to know more about Regardie, I recommend his audio cds The Golden Dawn Audio CDs: Volume 1 which you can get here on Amazon, which include some trance and self realisation work.

Protect yourself and learn how to seal your aura
Great book. Also, was happily surprised to find a section called Confronting the Shadow. I knew every human is supposed to confront our own shadow, but I didn't know how. It's not an easy to read book. The explanations from the Ciceros did help.

Excellent!
I love this Book! So much information. What is really great is this book explains how to say ritual words like Aglah or YHVH which to the novice can be a big "?". I use this book all the time it is well worth the money! If you are really serious about magic I highly recommend it.

This is a Study Aid.
This book along with another was ordered as part of my studies. I will only be able to submit my findings at the end of my studies, once I have read them both, completed all the exercises, and used the knowledge gained. Please ask me again in 6 months.

Good starter book for those on the esoteric path. Israel Regardie is a little verbose but Chick Cicero has edited it into a readable format. If you are new in this area of research, it will take a little perseverance to plough through but it is worthwhile at the end. Recommended.

The new Beginning
For the serious student this book is more than just a leasurely read. This is not just bedtime reading. This is part of a journey. It is the elements of a new life! I started doing the Middle Pillar meditations and feel the changes taking place in my life. I also bought the CD's with him giving guided exercises in breathing, the Middle Pillar and other exercises. It is awesome.Studying the Mysteries is a journeyand should be treated as such. This book is a valued item in my library.Expect to have your horizons broadened and your old wineskins changed! It is powerful and transforming.Len[...]
