Israel Regardie can be a bit dense at times, but this book is indispensable when it comes to fully understanding the Middle Pillar Ritual.

One of the best books ever read personally. Any serious seeker of the light must put his/her hand on this book. Can't recommend it enough, I have learnt alot

The value of this book lies not just in the Middle Pillar exercise and the Lesser Banishing Ritual. As you go through this book you will discover so much more. You may be interested to know how Jung bridged the gap between spirituality and psychology with his many concepts. I find this chapter alone to be worth many times the value of this book, particularly the picture of the Jungian model, which justifies buying the book. You will learn about the process of individuation in easy to understand language, our meeting with the shadow, and the higher self, and dealing with archetypes. Also included are ideas from other psychiatrists such as the controversial Wilhelm Reich, who is well worth knowing about in spite of all that happened. If you want to know more about Regardie, I recommend his audio cds The Golden Dawn Audio CDs: Volume 1 which you can get here on Amazon, which include some trance and self realisation work.

it covers a good amount of material. the tree of life and all the spheres individually, the levels of the soul, the basic rituals and why you should perform them and how it can help you. it gives good information about the pentagram symbol. its not a light reading and for some you may understand by rereading several times and take notes. this book helps with your overall practice in ceremonial its helping me understand the three pillars it fits well into your daily practice,and i would recommend to anyone. for a beginner i would also advise 'a kabbalistic handbook for the practicing magician" very much., its very practical with the spheres and the paths and tarot.

This book is an excellent reference source for your your esoteric training. It contains plenty of exercises that one can perform on a daily basis. Definitely a must read for all practitioners of Magick.

Important book for students of Kabalah

I was pleased to receive this book at a fair price. It was listed as Very Good for its condition and it was. The minor defects were pointed out and I found no others. I would definitely purchase from this seller again.

It's actually half Regardie, the other half further explication by the editors. The result is like two books in one, the second expanding upon the first. The Middle Pillar exercise is basic Western Meditation/Occult 101; the more you understand and practice the more you get out of it. This is a great introduction for beginners, and a fuller explaination for more advanced students. The skills you develop here will serve you for a lifetime.

Comprei juntamente com o "the tree of life" e "garden of pomegranates". Infelizmente o "The Middle Pillar" parece ter sido impresso em baixa qualidade/resolução, como se fosse uma copia de uma edição antiga (o que não é o caso), mal editada. De forma que as letras meio borradas cansam a vista durante a leitura. Desconfio que a amazon br está vendendo uma impressão de baixa qualidade ( mass print ) do livro pelo preço da impressão convencional. Fora isso o conteúdo do livro é ótimo.

Very good work! Since trends in psychotherapy have changed over the years he is still way ahead of the game,focusing on Carl Jung and the theories that he taught. It's actually half Regardie, the other half further explication by the editors. The result is like two books in one, the second expanding upon the first,and they do an excellent job in updating this classic from almost 70 years ago,in 1945. As a fairly new student I am using this,along with a few other books as a study guide,and instead of study guide,I have read the whole book in a week..so now I can begin using it as a guide. Kabbalah can be confusing to new users. Loving it.

Great source of information

Very clear explanations of the meaning behind the rituals and the profound consciousness to be gained, and very clear directions of how to do the rituals, meditations, visualisations. Excellent! Thanks to Israël Regardie for his work.

As it happens with most of Llewellyn’s publishings, the materials are very poor and cheap. Tiny small drops of water will make the text smudge and unreadable. That is unacceptable for such a reference book that you use very often. To this respect this might have been the worst publication I have ever had. The paper is awful, the cover is too soft and the glueing is a mess making the book trash upon continued use. Each time I promise myself not to buy more from this publisher but then again it turns out to be impossible because the contents are usually really good. Llewellyn’s equals great contents in terrible editions, a clear case where you should not judge a book by its cover. Having said this, the contents of the book are 5 stars, both the original text that could have easily been written in this century and the newer contents. A must have not only for the wannabe magician but for all who dwell in spirituality and psychology.
