It works!!
I am revamping a VERY old stamp book. Most of the stamps are affixed, badly, with paper and paste hinges. This is working great for removing them from the page without doing any damage.

Works But...
I ordered this stuff because I knew I’d be having a lot of stamps to lift off paper. It really works. However, it’s a very tedious process. I read on line that all this stuff consists of is distilled water and a drop of dish soap. Well, guess what? It isn’t quite that formula. When I ran out, I mixed distilled water and a drop of soap and it didn’t work well at all!In the end, instead of dabbing this stuff on the back of a stamp on paper, I just dumped them all in a bucket of warm water. Worked a lot better and would do a hundred at a time instead of one. The fluid works, but is a very tedious process. Also, the brush tends to lose bristles a lot. Not bad but I don’t think I’ll be ordering any more.

Excellent for removing stamps on colored backing paper, works quickly & the stamps dry very fast.
I bought this to try on my stamps that have colored backing paper since soaking those usually causes the paper color to bleed onto the stamp.I have tried this on 2 different stamps so far - 1 self adhesive & 1 water activated. I brushed the fluid over all of the backing paper as per the instructions (had already trimmed them close) then peeled the backing paper off. As I expected, it didn't remove all of the backing paper off of the self adhesive stamp, but it did remove a lot & the paper color did not bleed onto the stamp. It removed almost all of the red backing paper off of the water activated stamp - just a few tiny dots of colored fragments remained (which I should easily be able to remove with a wet cotton tipped swab) & again, none of the color from the backing paper bled onto the stamp. Both stamps dried very quickly after the backing paper was removed.I'm very pleased with the results as I have probably abt 2,000 stamps on colored backing paper and I hope I get the same good results with the rest of my stamps as I did with the ones I tested. This was also delivered much quicker than the stated estimated delivery date, was enclosed in a sealed ziploc bag & there was no leakage. It also came with a little brush which was not mentioned on the page.I removed 1 star because of the price - I had looked at this same product on Amazon a few weeks ago & several sellers had it listed for around $5. When I went to order this bottle, the prices varied from over $8 to over $12 for this same small 4 fl oz bottle. My stamp store sells it for $4.25 for the 4 fl oz bottle, but I have a disability & can't go out very often. I usually can only go to my stamp shop once every 3 months after my regular Dr appt since they are located fairly close to each other.Due to the price, I wouldn't use this product for all of my water activated stamps that need to be removed from the backing paper - soaking in water is much more feasible price wise. I wish this was more affordable because I have about 15,000 (or more) stamps that need to be removed from the backing paper. Using this fluid was very quick & easy to do get the job done & the stamps dried so much quicker than those that I have to soak in water.I recommend this product for stamps on colored backing paper & if you have unlimited funds, it's much quicker & easier than traditional soaking in water.

An essential tool for stamp collectors.
The product works like a charm in releasing stamps and similar papers with adhesives attaching to each other.

Removes paper from stamp great but stamp ends up being stiff after it dries which lowers stamp value
Takes paper off stamps perfectly. But my stamp ends up being stiff after it dries and that lowers the value of the stamp.

Humidity got your stamps stuck together? Get this.
This is an invaluable addition to any stamp collector's arsenal. If you have stamps that got stuck together through humidity or another unfortunate event, you can get them safely separated with this fluid, a small paintbrush, and patience. Just brush the fluid on the face of the stamp, and wait a few seconds before slowly attempting to peel apart. Go slowly, this isn't a race.
