Works great or not at all
After I connected this hub to a USB 2.0 port at the front end of my relatively potent desktop computer, I proceeded to attach FOUR WD Portable disks to it. I was surprised, amazed and delighted to see that every connected drive was immediately recognized by my Win 7 OS. Each was assigned an available drive letter. The content was readily accessible and entirely correct. It was as though each drive had been attached to one of the numerous USB ports my computer provides by means of two expansion cards. I then logged off the current Win account , then back on. The drive list had not changed. I then did a system restart. I then logged into a different Win account and checked the drive list again. All four of the disks attached to the stub were still there. Wow! This hub is really fantastic, I thought.Then, I attached the hub to one of the USB 3.0 ports on one of the USB expansion cards... a port i've used for several years to access one of these same WD portable drives. I attached one of them to the hub and, to my surprise and dismay, It didn't work at all. Windows wouldn't even recognize the drive. I then plugged the drive directly into the expansion-card port. It was immediately recognized and worked properly. Next, I tried plugging the hub into one of the USB 3.0 hubs provided by my Sabertooth motherboard. Same result as before. It did not work when the drive was plugged into the hub. It worked fine when it was plugged directly into the USB 3.0 port. At his point, I'm completely baffled and somewhat uncertain how many stars to award to this nicely made product.

Met and exceeded my expectations
For a non powered hub im very impressed. I bought a new laptop and needed a 3.0 hub. I have been able to use this with my external WD 2 TB drive and my external 2TB Seagate both 3.0 with no apparent loss of transfer or added time (both self powered with AC plugs). I will say that I bought a usb 3.0 extension as suggested as the way my laptop is set up the hub would have hung off my desk. This way I can bring it to the other side. Ive had my non 3.0 cam work through it fine, my Logitech unifying receiver, my external 3.0 card reader (fast as ever) and my cell phone for backup purposes all in varying combinations with no issue. Id have included a pic but my desk is very messy right now. I would would purchase this again.

Maybe not so stylish, but works perfectly
This device could be smaller, for sure.However, it seems sturdy, well built.It works very well and has a nice glowing ligh when on.The transfer rate (in my opinion, the most important issue) is very good.I bought it to multiply the USB ports of a Microsoft Surface, and it is doing very well.

Works great with Wireless mouse & keyboard
I bought this specifically to use a wireless mouse and keyboard on the same USB hub (which was not possible with my old USB hub) and it works great! No issues at so so far.. the only downside is I noticed the products were a little bit cheaper on the hootoo website.

Perfect!
I have not had the issues with the spacing of the ports that has been mentioned, but most of my flash drives and things aren't over sized. I can easily plug into all 4 ports so this hub is perfect for what I need. It's also small and stays out of my way.

Nothing too special about this dongle but I have to admit that works flawlessly and the build is great. Recommended

This is working well so far. I have three USB cords plugged into it at once and everything is responding properly.
