Kendama USA - Pro Model - Zack Yourd - Brown - Extra String - Strengthens Hand and Eye Coordination - Lightweight

I am new to Kendamas. I saw some people playing with them in the Boston Common and got interested. My first purchase was a bamboo Kendama for $10. I really liked it, but was curious about the difference in the pro models. I love the "brew" theme of this Kendama. The ken "handle" and the dama "ball" are very light. My first one was heavier and it took some getting use to. I still prefer the heavier weight. The hole is good for spike tricks and the matte texture of the dama is "stickier" and good for those lighthouse type tricks. The dama does dent easily, but I think that's the case for all of them. They are meant to be played with.

The look of this kendama is beautiful. The ken has decent balance and weight. The tama has a very nice texture and finish that helps it stick but it is very light and the wood is soft which makes for a lot of deep dents and a lot of chipping.

I got it and immediately noticed that the tama/ball looked like an oval and isn't round at all also the tama gets scratched way to easily.

My son thinks he needs at least 3-4 more. This is a great way to get your kids moving and engaged in had eye coordination with something besides video games and you can take them any where.

The Zack Yourd model is a little heavy for my kid, but it's all about personal preferences when it comes to the weight and ball coating of your Kendama. Kendama USA always has solid products period though!!!
