Great replacement
I paid a lot of money for a garage company to replace the torsion wire for my garage doors and for the first few months everything was great, but I noticed that once in a while the wire would jump on the roller because the company gave me cables that were twisted. After many weeks of dealing with this and not trusting the companies in my area or paying a $200 service call fee. I decided to educate my self on garage doors. Super simple process to understand this, you just need to be careful when the torsion springs are under tension. Well I replaced the wires and my problem is solved.

Good quality, good price
Installation was straight forward. Took some time but these cables worked out beautifully. Get yourself a new set a cable wire wheels and replace both. My cable wires were frayed...the wire wheel had some spurs and was cutting into them. Take pictures before you remove the old ones. It must be wound in a certain direction and there is a slight twist before connecting it to the door.

Measure your cables first
I bought these based on the height of my door opening but had to send them back. I’m sure they would work fine but my torsion bar is higher than my door opening would make you think—I have a high ceiling. So my cables once removed were 13’ long. My advice is to unlatch the door from the opener and push it all the way up the track. Then lock it in place with vice grips on the track. Remove a cable (see YouTube) and measure the actual cable length and order that size. Once I replaced the frayed, longer cable, the door leveled itself.

Heavy duty cables
I purchased a home with a garage in 2022. The garage door was working great but was 20 years old. One day the motor died. Two months later, the torsion spring broke. I had all of that replaced and at the end, I made one mistake that destroyed one of the cables.I bought these as they were the right length and when I got them, I was surprised how thick the cables were. 7 spun cables of 7 spun cables definitely gives me the confidence that they won't break anytime soon and my vehicles and family are safe going in and out of the car door.

Direct replacement for broken ones.
I had the spring break on our garage door and seems that soon after it went the cables decided to get jacked up as well. I was able to get the spring locally at Home Depot but they didn't have these cables. After replacing the spring and testing it the cables were pretty easy to install but I definitely had to re-do them a few times to get the order and all right. They have been on for a couple months now and haven't had any issues. These were for an 8' tall door..

Perfect fit!
Installed in no time. Fit perfectly for my garage door. The door opens nice and smooth now. As for the longevity that is yet to be determined.

Replacement cables worked great.
I had tried unsuccessfully to reattach the old cables that had kinked when the door hit a chunk of ice on one corner when lowering (abnormal single-digit degree weather). After 4 attempts, I finally wised up and decided to purchase these replacements. Problem solved on the first installation attempt.

Excellent quality product
My garage door cable loop broke on one side. I looked for it’s replacement in the stores but didn’t find the matching fish type end. Found this on amazon and it’s a good replacement. This cable was about an inch longer than the original one so I had to replace cables on both sides otherwise the door tilted on one side by just replacing one. The cable is slightly thicker but it didn’t matter, maybe the original one I had was inferior? Saved money of a service call!
