Superb, and well worth the money. Feels and smells nice. Great for note-taking, cookbooks, ritual tomes, or just everyday voracious reading. I never write reviews, but this deserves one. Would have made an excellent stocking stuffer if I'd thought of it in time!

Effective! Good quality, nice and smooth. Holds pages comfortably, but I can see if you have bigger or smaller fingers how it would be uncomfortable.

I am giving this four stars as it does appear to be well made. The wood is smooth both inside and out with no feeling of splinters. The color is as described and also looks evenly stained. I am removing one star due to the fact that it does not fit even though I measured my thumb following their instructions. Be aware also, that if your fingers are on the shorter side that it is difficult to hold a book and have it lay correctly inside a book to keep it open. IF it fits and you have "regular length" thumbs etc. then I believe it would be useful and also make a good gift for someone. It came nicely boxed and would be a perfect size for something such as a Christmas stocking, Easter basket or accompanying a gift card to a book store for instance. Returning due to it not going to work for me even if correct size around my thumb.

The Tilisma page holder does what it was made to do, it holds the book open. I ordered the “XL” (0.98” or 25mm), because my thumb measures exactly 25mm wide at the knuckle. It turns out, however, that I should have ordered one size smaller, the “L” (0.94” or 24mm). You wouldn’t what a difference 1mm could make, but it sure does. The page holder tended to rotate counter clockwise on my thumb. I think the main reason this was happening is because it’s too loose around my thumb. But I found that I was able to discourage the rotation by using my index and middle finger to support the bottom left edge of the page holder. Even so, I contacted the good folks at Tilisma about this issue, and they were nice enough to send me their newest model, which incorporates a slightly angled thumb hole. And the thumb hole is one size smaller, i.e. the Large size, which fits my thumb perfectly. The angled hole makes it more comfortable to use. For me, Tilisma’s 100% satisfaction guarantee, coupled with their excellent customer service, as well as a beautiful and easy-to-use product, earns all five stars.

Gave this beautiful page holder to my daughter for Christmas. She has average sized hands. I bought the smallest and it was perfect

Works okay, but it's so thick it covers up the bottom few lines of the page so you have to reposition. The wood is nice and smooth feeling though

This is just a lightweight little piece of wood and yet it makes such a difference when you're holding a paper back I haven't tried it with a hard back because most of mine are textbook size and they're going to lay on the table anyway, but I'm amazed at this helpful tool. I have very small hands so I assume that the small would fit my thumb cuz my knuckle is a little big It feels loose. I love it, so I ordered the mini I think that would probably fit me perfectly. But in the meantime I'm going to keep using this small size by just taking a small strip of felt and gluing it around the inside room to make it a bit snugger. This is one of those things that you look at and you say oh heck I could make that and then you look at the price and you think about your woodworking skills and you buy it.
