Works good for a scooter. Motorcycle would be Questionable
I recently bought a 50cc scooter and felt I needed a little extra security since I live in an apartment complex. The place I got it from offers this exact alarm system but they were all out, so I got it from amazon.Shipping: I ordered this on a Tuesday, and although it gave me an estimated date of Wednesday of the following week it arrived in only 3 days. Pretty cool.Functionality: didn't have much of an issue attaching the lock to my wheel. As for the sound of the alarm, its decent. I live on the second floor of my complex with my window facing the street. Standing next to the alarm it gets pretty loud, but from my window there would have to be little to no sound going on inside for me to hear it.Really the main reason I got it was to scare anyone away from touching it too much. Its a scooter, and a 50cc one at that. Its not like you can really sell it for parts like a motorcycle/car. With that said, I wouldn't feel comfortable using something like this on a motorcycle, go for something more heavy duty. But for a scooter? Go for it if you are on a budget. Put a tarp on and you have a great combo.

Best audible alam for my bike!
I recently had my bike of 14 years stolen. This unfortunate even has led to my purchasing a much more expensive bike than I had. In order to protect my new investment I was on the lookout for something more than a u lock or cut resistant cable lock. I stumbled across this when a random search brought up motorcycle bike alarms. I haven't seen this type of lock on bikes in my area and am sure a lot of people don't initially think of this versus the traditional cable or u locks. In addition to this level of security I also bought a frame mounted AXA Defender bike lock. This product arrived today and I can't contain my excitement on how well it works!!!The oxford Screamer Disc Lock will definitely be a deterrent to thieves eyeing up my bike. It's sensitivity is perfect and not finicky at all. It clips through the brake disc with one beep, then you depress the button to activate it or "arm" it. I tested it by moving the bike briefly for a second and it gave off "four warning" beeps. I continued to move the bike and let out a relentless "very loud" alarm. I am extremely pleased that it does exactly what it claims to do! You won't be disappointed and confident in the security of your bike.

Super functional... does the job, but not loud enough
I have a V-star and this just barely fits in the holes of the front disc brake, but I'm lazy and just fit it into a larger opening... it still works great that way. It's really sensitive, so if you're going to have a wind/rain storm, take it off the bike or it's going to wail all night/day. The only let-down and the reason why I didn't give it five stars is that it's not nearly as loud as I thought it was going to be.

Why did I not believe others reviews!!
I have just taken delivery of this lock and sure enough it did not work when I first tried it out as the batteries were flat. Fitted spare batteries and is now working, so I have now lost up to 9 month use already, Why is it they advise you to transport it unlocked when they dispatch it locked so it is activated and flattens the batteries, I will tell you why! when it is unlocked you can't shut the lock cover flap so it would not fit in the packaging and also they supply a storage pouch which again is useless as it won't fit when it is in the unlocked position. The alarm volume is a bit like my broadband, as it is described as the famous up to 100 db and it definitely is not that loud, I have heard a small child scream louder, this alarm is more of a shout than a screamer. Will give ago and see how it goes!

Unsful and saved my bike
I bought two one for my dad and one for me. One is still working very well, however the other has become akward to lock and unlock. I think this is due to someone trying to steal my bike and being unable to since the lock was a little damaged. So all in all this this is a great product worth the money.

Oxford Screamer disque de moto d'alarme antivol
Bon article et me donne une protection supplémentaire à ma moto contre les voleurs. Alarme sonore très aigu et très sensible au moindre petit mouvement/déplacement. .

I feel like this product is a big downfall
I have had two of these items, one was a replacement as the first one was a faulty product, when the disk lock got cold, and the disk would either do the following;Rapidly beep when locked, the noise would not turn off. When the alarm locked properly without freaking out, the alarm (when alarmed) would beep 4 times, and not do anything else after, sometimes it would go off but the alarm would not go on for longer than 2-5 seconds. The alarm would be completely dead at times.I heard Oxford was decent but from experience of this one item, I feel like this product is a big downfall.Side note, at all times I kept the lock in the black bag when the disk was not in use (for being on the bike) and the spare batteries was kept in the packaging.Would be great of Oxford could sort this product out.
