My cat had several spots which she continued to scratch.
This has worked great on my cat who has itchy skin that she scratches until it bleeds. This product calms the skin so she doesn't scratch. This is my second purchase of this product.

Works great!
I have a 16.5 pd. orange tabby cat that gets what I call the itchies. He will all of a sudden start twitching on his back, then start to run, stop and try to itch his back, then bolt to a different room. This was happening 4-5 times a week. He has had this every since he was a baby and he is now 10 years old. Trips to the vet, resulted in a change of diet and lotion for dry skin. It all helped some but nothing ever completely cured him of doing this. I decided to try the Skin Soother - it has worked!! I was originally giving it to him in both his wet food in the morning and in a communal water bowl. I noticed an improvement within the first week. After doing this for 3 weeks, he started having diarrhea (reason for the 4 stars), so I stopped using it in his wet food, and now am only putting it in the water. Still no return of the itchies. If I do notice it starting to come back I will trying putting it in his food again but only 2-3 times a week. He has an younger brother (4 years old), and a younger sister (1 year old) who has also benefited from the Skin Soother since I am using it in a water bowl that they all share. All 3 cats have had improvement in their fur (extremely soft), and less shedding - which is always a good thing!!

Skin Soother is the Solution!
This is the first bottle I've tried on my male 8 year old cat, Celt, who has suffered a great deal from feline hyperesthesia. I apply to his wet food once or twice a day and by now the bottle is nearly empty. It has been a godsend! At first I didn't think it was working and was going to stop using it, but about halfway through the bottle I noticed that I wasn't hearing his awful "episodes" of hissing and growling while his skin twitched. First it would be one day without incident and then the next day I would hear maybe one or two episodes. Then these events would get farther apart until now it's been nearly 3 weeks since I've witnessed one of these occurrences. I would tell others to not give up, even if you forget one day, keep at it and hopefully your cat will be free of these terrible experiences. To illustrate where Celt was...about four years ago his seizures or whatever it can be called was so bad that he nearly severed the tip of his tail from attacking it out of pain and frustration. He had been on pheno and other drugs, but these were partially effective and there was the danger of liver damage. The skin twitching was typical and plaguing him something awful. The vet advised having his extremely long tail removed so now he looks like a Manx. He seemed to be fine after the surgery, but then it started up again after he was stressed out over too much activity in the house around the holidays. We were back to ground zero. Whenever he would start up with an attack I would call him or stroke his head lightly to take his mind off the episode, which worked. But what does he do when I'm not home? This bottle of liquid is the answer. I wish he would grow out of the attacks, but until that miracle happens, this product is his miracle.Update: It's been 4 months since my review and Celt is doing great. He still takes the drops in his wet food or cream and he has almost no episodes.

Abject failure
This is the pile of fur my cat pulled off herself AFTER I applied this product. I’d call that a failure.

Consistently good product
I’m not sure what “Stretch” means in this survey (?), but I love all the Jackson Galaxy products and have used them for years. I put about half a dropper full in my cats morning wet food. I thought it smelled too alcohol-y, but she didn’t, and the first time she had it I could tell a difference in her attitude (that is true with every the JG products I have tried). Her skin issue does seem to be clearing up, and definitely doesn’t bother her as much.

Relax’s my cat
It relaxes my cat some so that her self soothing is not constant. But I think it’s too soon to tell if will help him stop completely.

Works!
I was not expecting much when we bought this. One of our cats has very dry skin and dandruff. A few drops of this in her canned food twice a day and a month later she is a lot better! Problem is not gone but vastly improved. I would recommend
