Exactly as described and brand new. I do have electrical experience so installing this was a breeze. Just take your time and make sure you have all the right tools. You don't need a soldering iron or soldering experience but I highly recommend it. Butt connectors will work just fine. It's ready to go out of the box but you can change the steering wheel controls via a laptop. Everything is super easy. I made this purchase 2 years ago but I'm just now writing this review.My absolute favorite park is that you can see the backup camera and the backup sensors all on one screen when backing up. That is an amazing feature for me. I would highly recommend this product and the seller.

I have a 2021 Chevrolet Express van and I used this with a Pioneer AVIC-W8400NEX radio and was able to retain my factory steering wheel controls. I could see it being a little bit over whelming for someone who doesn’t have experience installing car stereos. There’s a ton of wires to deal with so read the instructions a few times and make sure you’re using the right model for your vehicle. I have some experience installing car stereos but am by no means a professional. The unit sometimes hiccups another controls on the steering wheel don’t work but that’s only happened once. Just restarted the vehicle and they worked.

It’s nothing super complicated to install if you have some background in stereo installation. If you’re a beginner watch plenty of videos beforehand. I like that I’m able to shut off my check engine light off through my stereo and check the codes that pop up. I installed it on a 2012 Chevy Traverse LT FWD. so this trim level didn’t come with a factory backup cam, so I like the parking assist sensors display on my pioneer 4660NEX. I would recommend if wanting to get more out of your iDatalink capable headunit

So, I had trouble finding a harness that would help me retain all the features of my 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe LTZ. I had a factory Bose system with Navigation, Rear DVD, steering controls, and back up camera. This adapter kit made it all possible. There is an option for Bose and non Bose systems. The instructions are fairly straight forward, but if you hit a snag Tech support is fantastic from Maestro. I used this with a Pioneer NEX and I highly recommend for any aftermarket stereo install. I'll admit that at first I tried to cheap out and get a less expensive option but only some of my features were retained.

Took a bit of extra install work to get it all right. But once done did everything it should. Al I ng with the GM harness kit was as easy as plugging everything in. My new stereo was a Kenwood touch screen. One thing to keep in mind. Using the Maestro the XM app (at least on my Kenwood) does not work. Have to use OEM menu and satellite radio. To use the Kenwood app the xm box behind the glove compartment needs replaced and tied directly to the stereo.

Works well had a couple hiccups but that was my own user error thinking I would save time and crimping by not cutting out what the instructions specifically told me to cut out. Other than that install was easy and a little computer literacy and common sense(rare these days) would help you too.

Makes the entire process of installing a head unit straightforward! Easy to follow instructions, very well made wiring diagrams. Lots of (pertinent) information, but not so much to the point of being overwhelming. Also retained factory chimes and radio/bluetooth hand controls!

A degree of difficulty to install properly.Reading the instructions carefully is important.
