Pros: - Extremely effective. - The best dehumidifier available in the Indian market currently. - Transluscent 4L Tank takes a full night to fill in a medium sized room with high humidity. The machine autocuts once the tank is full. - Option to attach pipe to bypass tank. - Super customizable settings. - Option to add air purifying filter. - Can be app controlled and has wifi. - App is well made and smooth even though setting it up for the first time is okayish at best. - Looks good. - Makes breathing easier. - Prevents mold/ mildew/ wet wall odor. Cons: - Very Expensive when compared to other similar products. - A very niche use. Most people would be satisfied with getting moisture absorbers or silica gels every monsoon instead of a dedicated machine. - Air purifying filter not included. (Costs like 1500 for this model). The purifying is okayish and very basic. - Drainage Pipe not included and it is not clearly communicated on how to find a compatible one. The company themselves dont make one and they mention a pipe with 14mm inner diameter and that's it. After a lot of research I was able to find that the compatible pipe type is called a Drip Irrigation Pipe and is marketed as a 16mm outer diameter pvc pipe by local irrigation accessory companies. You have to make sure that the inner diameter is 14mm via descriptions. It is an irrigation system pipe which seems a bit odd to use indoors. On amazon, a typical 20m roll costs like 500 rupees. hope this helps anyone who was looking. - Clothes drying mode isn't very effective. Takes an entire night to dry a washing mashine's load worth. A dryer is a better investment.

22 Oct 2022 No frills dehumidifier. Room size: 10 x 13. My room had a relative humidity of 85% at nights. I got this dehumidifier and set it at a required humidity of 50%. Well, it does function as advertised and draws in large amounts of water. It could not get my room to 50%, i believe mostly due to leaks in the windows (yeah, you have to run this unit in a closed room) but i am happy to state that it always kept my room humidity less than 70% at nights (yeah.. 70% might sound not so good, but compared to 85% its a lot better). The water tank with a capacity of 4 litres fills up in about 8 hours. This unit emits warm air while functioning , which is pretty normal. It increases room temperature by 2 or 3 degrees. Its best advised to use this unit at nights along with an airconditioner. Do not set the desired humidity to less than 50% , its not advisable. Check online sources, too less humidity causes viruses in air to flourish, too much humidity causes dust mites to flourish. Online sources claim good humidity to be between 40% to 60%, but i would say do not go below 50%. Humidity in room occasionally touching 55% is apparently good as it automatically discharges static electricity at this level. Finally, this device works as advertised, i did not bother using their app as i did not find it necessary. Extended warranty support by onsitego was another reason for me to buy this device, no other dehumidifier in this range had their support. The build quality turned out to be better than how it looks in the pictures. The manufacturer pasted warning labels in various places asking customers not to use the device soon after delivery, so unbox the device and place it where you want to use it unplugged for a few hours after delivery. Edited: 2 Jan 2024 Device still working. Definitely exceeded my expectations. I am setting it at the least humidity level now as it anyway only reduces 10% from my room and keeps humidity at a comfortable level all night. The average humidity is around 70% in the room while not using this device. When i switch it on , along with AC, the room humidity is very stable around 50-60%. Definitely better than 70%. Don't expect this device to reduce 40 or 50% from existing levels., its not such a heavy duty device. But it gets the job done. I am looking forward to Powerpye producing dehumidifiers that look like split ac units. That would definitely be a good thing as this device occupies some floor space.

Well thought and well built product. Does it's job very well! Wifi integration makes it easier to operate from anywhere. It would have been great if they provided the drain tube alongwith the package.

Writing this review after a week. I have severe allergy to dust mites. We have recently shifted to Mumbai and I started having severe allergy ever since, monsoons were terrible. After a thorough study and even after consulting pest services, I could not find solution to dust mites. For those who don't know.. If you are suffering for allergic rhentitis and live in humid area, it's mostly because of dust mites. Please study about these pests. The only way out is by having direct sunlight in your home, vaccuming and cleaning. Else reduce the humidity levels to below 50% and they will die. For this you need to have a dehumidifier with a capacity to remove 12 - 13 L a day. This Indian origin De-humidifyer is the best and most economical I could find in this category. It is pleasantly quiet and works amazing. I have checked the Humidity indicator which is quite accurate. The picture was taken after it ran for 4 hours and got the humidity from 73% to 49% in a closed 14x11 room. The only problem is slight warm air it throws out and buying a set of filter (optional) seperately. The mobile app and alexa control is awesome feature. Highly recommended.

I have been using this for almost a year and has done magic. Removed all dampness and mold from clothes. Sneezing and coughing issues of family members gone. Feels fresh in house in humid season and amazing customer service. Best investment for health if you are in high humidity region.

Excellent very quiet performance. Ideal for high humidity conditions when temperatures are in the mid to low 20s - ie during monsoons in states like Kerala and Karnataka (not Tamil Nadu where temperatures are higher). Am reviewing after using for 2 weeks. Do not switch on immediately after delivery. Unpack and let the machine rest upright for 8 hours to allow the oil and gas in the compressor to settle after transportation. I first ran it at high fan speed and the water tank filled and the machine switched off automatically at the 5-1/2 hour mark when ambient humidity was over 90%. When I switched to low fan speed the unit ran for 7-1/2 hours until tank full at similar ambient humidity levels. The room size is 300 sft, which is the maximum size for this unit. Power Pye also has a larger model available. The tank is made of polycarbonate and is oddly shaped, so please take care while removing it to empty. If it falls, it will break so keep good hold of it. Alternately one can rig up continuous drainage. The water in the tank is considered "grey water" containing bacterial, viral and fungal microorganisms, so do not reuse unless treated. I set the target for 50% but the unit reached only 60% with ambient humidity in upper 80s and low 90s, which I felt is reasonable not just due to the high humidity but also the large room size in my case. I felt a clear change in comfort levels once it dipped below 70. Recommended and advisable to buy the Power Pye 10L/day HEPA filter separately, available on Amazon. Makes a clear improvement in air quality. The filter needs to be washed and dried every 2 weeks and changed once it turns grey or black, which varies between several months to a year, depending on usage. It has several features like auto restart, laundry drying mode, timer, wheels, etc which are useful. Overall highly impressed with not just the performance but the solid build quality and compact size (about knee height and takes up the same floor space as a pair of large shoes).

It’s worked well so far. The RH(relative humidity) reading is perhaps not the most accurate but gives you a good general idea.I compared it with my hygrometer and it usually is off by 5-10%. The HEPA filter that needs to be bought separately is a tad bit on the expensive side. If the price of it comes down then I would probably give it 5* . It is a well made/solid product which does the job.

Condenser replaced once and now PCB in the process of replace repair. So product is good for only 2-3 years and you can calculate the value for money. On top of that the service in Kolkata sucks real big time. Thier response is slow. My current complaint is over 1.5 months old and still not resolved after repeated followups. Update: their customer service stopped responding to my followups for repair. They refuse to repair on the basis that it is out of warranty. Update as of 22-Apr-24: They have stopped responding to my query now machine is defunct
