I haven't bought fresh vanilla bean before...on one of the beans it seemed to have a little white on it?

Beans seemed a little dry, not as moist or full as I had received in a previous order. Jury is still out on the quality of vanilla they make, it is still soaking.

I used these beans to make vanilla for baking. I liked that they were in good condition.

Do not buy these beans. All of the rave reviews about this product are obviously manufactured by Amazon to make the product look good to potential buyers buyers. They are super thin, dry and brittle. Clearly old and poor quality product. I kept them as I am soaking them in vodka to be vanilla extract. But instead of using 3 beans I had to use them all 5 to get the same strength. If I wanted to use them for anythings else, I would have returned them. Next time I will find a health food store and get them there, no matter what the cost. These are a waste of money. Amazon should be ashamed selling this poor quality product for this price! Are you willing to take responsibility for this, Amazon?

I used these beans to make homemade vanilla extract. I did have to buy more as I made a huge bottle and needed a few more beans. I would buy these again for extract, they may not be the best for baking

Rotten, moldy beans! I purchased 2 packages a couple days ago to make vanilla extract for Christmas gifts. Opened one package tonight and all of the beans were covered in mold! The horrid smell filled the whole kitchen. I looked more closely at the other package without opening it and can tell it's the same, gross, rancid garbage. Don't waste your money! Amazon says it's not eligible for return, even the unopened one.
