When purchasing a cable like this the most important questions are probably the following: Does it work? And is it sturdy? The answer for this Apple MFI Certified Lightning cable from iXCC is yes. If you're the type of person who likes to get into the details, read on. Please note that this is the newer, 8-pin lightning connector for devices produced after 2012, including the iPhone 5, 5c, 5s, 6, 6+, etc.What does MFI Certified mean?Apple's MFI program is defined by Wikipedia as, "a licensing program for developers of hardware and software peripherals that work with Apple's iPod, iPad and iPhone, the so-called iDevices. The name is a shortened version of the original long-form Made For iPod." Basically, what that means for you is that the maker of this Lightning cable, iXCC, has gotten a seal of approval from Apple to produce this cable. It also means that this cable includes a chip that iDevices recognize to verify authenticity and work properly--non MFI certified cables do not have this (more on that later.) It meets the standard of quality that Apple has set for officially licensed products, which I have always found to be quite good. Apple's reputation for quality is well-known, and the relatively small number of cables that get MFI certified speaks to how high the bar has been set.Do I need an MFI Certified cable?I WOULD NOT recommend buying a cable that is not Apple MFI certified. I purchased an uncertified cable out of a bucket of cables at a Best Buy checkout and it stopped functioning after about a week. They cannot be trusted to last and at a similar price (~$10) you are wasting your money. Without the chip mentioned above Apple will block these uncertified third party cables, rendering them useless.How does this cable look?I purchased the black cable. It looks very nice and the iXCC logos are exactly as pictured in the product description. In my opinion they are tasteful and unobtrusive. That said, the original Apple OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) is more minimalist with nary a logo to be found. This is a very subjective area and will depend on your personal preference, so examine the photos for yourself.How does it feel?At 3ft this cable matches the length of the one that comes with your iDevice and will feel mostly the same. The plastic is a bit harder and less matte, so it is a little bit more slippery, for lack of a better word. This is a positive for me, since the combination of color and material means it doesn't get as dirty as the original Apple cable can sometimes get. It does feel a little bit lighter, which means it isn't as satisfying to hold, but that means less weight when traveling, too.Will it hold up?I believe that for most uses this cable will hold up quite well. As I said it is less prone to getting dirty. It also features extra rubber shielding/sleeving at each end of the cable to prevent fraying from twisting. That kind of fraying can be a problem on OEM Apple cables. I use it in my car and leave it out in freezing temperatures without worrying or issue. If you're looking for a super heavy-duty cable for whatever reason, maybe look for a braided cable.Does it work?Yes. Charging and syncing work like an OEM Apple cable.Should I buy this cable?I would recommend this cable. That said, there are better deals elsewhere. Recently I have noticed original OEM Apple Lightning cables available on eBay in the ~$7.50 range. If you're a purist or true bargain hunter you should definitely explore that option. If you've got Prime and other stuff to worry about, this cable won't disappoint and is a good deal to boot. 5 stars.

I have bought a lot of chargers and the only ones I have bought in the last few years are IXCC they last forever (until you loose them) but the one by me bed is every bit of 5 years old still working just fine

My first cord lasted about 5 months. I do use it every single day in my car, and the problem happened over night. I'm pretty sure the metal contact points on the end that goes into the iphone got corroded. I'm not sure if its because my wife's cup holders have condensation from all the crap she has in there constantly, or if the metal contact points are just cheap. That being said, i never had a problem with the metal contact points in my Honda Accord, so who knows.At the end of the day, it stopped working, and I couldn't keep it charging, so I started looking at other cords, official APPLE cords, and I didn't feel like paying $17.99, so I made due with my other cord, rather than living with two. Obviously that got difficult, because I'd leave it at work or home, so I got frustrated and tried returning this cord, which was way past the 30 day return period.... so I got all discouraged, then went to the product page, and saw a 1 year warranty symbol. Couldn't find any information, so I googled IXCC, hopped on their website and saw a link for warranty info. Says you send the product to their address and they'll send you a replacement. I was skeptical, but I threw it in an envelope last week.... and got my replacement complete with email before hand a few days before it arrived. I was not expecting anything close to their fast response, so I'm very satisfied with their customer service.Good to know decent businesses still exist!

I’ve purchased a lot of charging cables and they’ve all ranged in how long they lasted until they stopped charging, or broke or the cord started to fray…but these are the worst so far. I purchased these in Sept 2022…one completely stopped charging as soon as I was out of the return/refund window, and now the other just completely had the metal piece break off in the charging port of my iPad. Thankfully I was able to remove it but that’s 2 cords completely worthless in less than a year, and this is with very light use. I don’t recommend.

I needed additional cables so I did not have to keep pulling the cable from one place to another. The iXCC Element Series 8pin USB Lightning Charge and Sync cables work great with my iPhone 6. The connector actually fits very well with the opening slot on my phone case. The cable charges and syncs very well, and I do not notice any negative difference in charge time or sync.The cable is well made and looks to be of good quality. It came in a sealed package. I use one in the car, and it works wonderfully fine.These are priced very nicely on Amazon. They come in various lengths and it one or two pack quantities. You can get these cables in black or in white. They are 2.4 amp cables that can charge up to max speed for a device with the right charger.I recommend these cables because they work great for me. I have had no issues with them. They look great and work great. They are also Apple MFi Certified. iXCC offers a limited 2 year warranty which is very nice since most products offer no warranty at all.

Das Produkt wurde schnell und gut verpackt geliefert.Da jeder das Problem kennt das die Ladekabel alle immer recht schnell kaputt gehen. Da sie einfach die alltäglichen Belastungen nicht aushalten und dann immer die Ummantelung kaputt geht.Das Lightningkabel ist sehr gut verarbeitet bei uns angekommen. Was mich etwas überrascht hat war die dicke von dem Kabel. Es fühlt sich nämlich sehr dünn an. Ich hoffe das es dadurch nicht so schnell kaputt geht. Der Schutz gegen Abknicken auf beiden Seiten ist sehr gut verarbeitet. Der beiden Stecker sitzen auch sehr gut in den Buchsen und haben wenig bis kein Spiel. Sie verkanten aber auch nicht beim ein oder ausstecken.Das Kabel erfüllt aufjedenfall seine Dienste das Laden und Datenübertragen funktioniert ohne Probleme.Wir können das Kabel aufjedenfall weiterempfehlen. Es ist eine gute Alternative zu dem Originalem Kabel.
