Awesome Gun, Very Fun to Use. BUT, DO NOT GIVE TO KIDS 12 AND UNDER
I opened up this gun and used it for a while with my friend, we had no problems what so ever (we are 16 and 17 years old) and we fired around 30 shots. I went in and used it some more around 60 more shots and had ZERO problems. When I ordered the gun I saw that the reviews weren't very good, and a lot of people said that it broke in 15 minutes to two days. But, around 85% of those reviews were people that gave the gun to kids from the ages of 8-9. THIS GUN IS NOT MADE FOR KIDS UNDER 12. i can see this gun breaking easily if u dont pay careful attention to cocking the gun and putting the darts in the clip. Simply, the gun is WAY to long for a little kid to use. PROS -Extremely Fun to shoot -very long range -Looks bad ass (for a nerf gun) -Overall, great nerf gun CONS -DO NOT GIVE TO LITTLE KIDS THE GUN WILL BREAK. -Some inaccurate (but most nerf guns fire very similarly in accuracy)

Awesome Nerf rifle.
Another awesome rifle by Nerf. A really powerful feel when you fire those massive darts fly. The arms of the gun don't attach very well which causes them to fall off fairly frequently, but unless you're really wanting to use them. You won't. A great Nerf weapon nonetheless. Does come in a large box, though. A very large box. An incredibly large box. So prepare your local UPS delivery man for that.

Cool looking but flawed
Before i got the centurion i decided to do some research and read reviews of what people have said. I found both good reviews and bad reviews. The good reviews basically praised the caliber and power of the gun. The bad reviews are a little more common though. Here's why. After shooting the gun about twenty times, i experienced the fabled "stuck in half prime" malfunction. no matter how i fiddled with the bolt i couldn't get it to go all the way forward. Frustrated (I was prepared for this type of malfunction though and so i had my screwdriver ready), I opened the gun up and took a look at the internals. After about two minuets of diagnosing the problem i was able to find the source of the jam. Hasbro had installed a lock to prevent the bolt from slamming forward if you weren't able to chamber a round. This lock however (i have no clue how) managed to stay activated after the prime and was therefore blocking the return of the bolt. To fix this problem, I removed the small little piece that was preventing the handle from traveling forward. It is located inside the jam door on the right side of the blaster. Once that was removed it has fired flawlessly every time(except for failed dart feeds). The darts however are another story. I like that Nerf is experimenting with new designs, but the materials need to be improved. I have already destroyed 6 darts, both from jams and just regular loading. The problem is the dart walls are too thin at the tip and when loaded they are compressed and bent. This is the cause for most of my jams. If they would reinforce the inside a little farther down from the tip of the dart it would likely help this problem. All of that being said however, I still love this thing. I've been waiting for a "sniper rifle" like this for some time, since the longshot was a big letdown to me. On a further note i was able to also remove the locks that kept the barrel from being removed. You simply have to remove two screws and two pieces from where the barrel attachment comes in. The lock that prevents the magazine from being fed into the blaster without the attachment is also easy to remove or glue down. So basically if you're familiar with taking these things apart and working on them this is a fun gun to work on. However, do not get this if you don't plan on taking it apart or buying extra darts. You can buy 10 for around 7 dollars. For any of you that had trouble with this gun I hope this helped.

Great toy, but paid TOO much!
This is an awesome nerf gun, and my son wanted it for his 11th birthday. Usually prices are the best on Amazon, so I ordered it on prime for $75. It showed up and was perfect, however the day before his birthday I saw the same nerf gun (and there were several) at Target for $50. My bad, I guess I paid a "collector" price. However, my son was thrilled, the gun works great and I learned to make sure I check a little better when price shopping.

Achieve Nerf firepower Superiority
This is quite a fun toy. The claimed distance of 100ft is achievable, but not consistently, more like 75 ft. Accuracy is not as good as smaller darts and it does jam, but it is definitely gives Nerf firepower Superiority, and the sound of pumping the gun is quite intimidating. Buy extra darts as they get damaged if the gun jams.

Massive!
This gun is massive! It's actually too big for my 8 year old to carry around and use, but he loves setting it up like a sniper rifle. The darts fly out of it. It jams every now and then, but if you put the darts in right it seems to be just fine.

My nephew loved it
I got this for my nephew for his birthday. I saw some guy complain about a lack of power, was he trying to kill birds with it or something? My nephew shot it in the house and I immediately thought "What did I do?" It shot surprisingly fast to me, but I guess that all depends on your expectations. He got me with it shooting out of his bedroom window to the driveway, probably a solid 20 yards. He was happy with it and enjoyed his nerf war with his friends.

Not durable...WILL break even when used properly!
My son purchased this gun with his allowance money after seeing it in Popular Science magazine. He was really excited for it and waited for it to come in stock via amazon. When we finally got the gun it was awesome! It shoots far and my son loved the "kick" when he would fire it. It's not a great gun for Nerf fights as it HURTS to be shot with and it is hard to manage but it's a great novelty! My son is 11 for the record and had no issue cocking and firing this gun.....at first. After a few weeks of owning it he started to have problems. The cocking mechanism would get stuck or be difficult to move. After a few more weeks it would get jammed more than it would fire smoothly. My husband decided to take a look at the gun and that is when we realized the problem was a bad one. The "firing pin" was damaged. The plastic had been cracked and warped from firing. My son didn't play with this gun excessively...maybe once or twice a week. He only used the Mega darts and always inserted the cartridge correctly. He never manhandled the weapon and treated it very carefully. After all he did spend his hard earned money on it. Needless to say, he was very disappointed. At this point the gun still fires but jams VERY frequently. I am not sure how much longer it will last before it will be unusable. My son still loves this gun a lot! I just wish Nerf had made it more durable. Aug 2014-this gun no longer fires. Contacted Nerf who said they could not replace the weapon as there were none in stock. They were. My son has moved on to the Mega bow which works much better and he likes much more. Feb 6: My son had a really hard time parting with his broken Mega gun. He had worked hard to earn the money for this so he was super bummed when it broke. It sat in his room for a good while and we finally threw it away a few days ago.
