These clips are evenly spaced around the joint. Once released the two fall apart easily. Now you can access all the parts to clean them. Then just need to do the reverse operation to assemble it back together and replace back the small screws you removed earlier. **Q: Is this safe for toddler fingers?** A: Yes I would think so. No negatives. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Extremely Quiet Fan. *by M***O on 8 September 2025* I had the pleasure of using this fan when staying with family a few weeks ago during one of the few heatwaves we had this summer This fan is the most quietest and coolest fan I have ever used. I have been using it on setting numbers 1 to 2 and they are perfectly cool enough for me. I am still using it now on setting 1 even if summer has almost gone. Admittedly I probably wouldn't have spent that much but if you want a very quiet fan and a comfortable night's sleep, then its an investment which I'm hoping to get many years of use from it. You can get it cheaper without the stand. It comes with its own remote which sits via a magnet on the front of the fan. Easy to find. Can't say I haven't tried the other settings on the remote but in time I probably will. I got the one with a stand and it stands at the bottom of the bed cooling the whole room. And not forgetting that it oscillates up and down ad well as side to side.
