Love how it covers my neck and shoulder
Soft and most importantly, not itchy material. Thin but warm and covers the neck, shoulder area beautifully!Tested in 15F weather (only for 30 min though), so far so good. We'll see how it performs in the Arctic!

No more freezing from sweat.
I often layer up with earmuffs, hats, scarfs, anything that can warm my head while I stand outside for 6 to 8 hours a day at work. I am often kept warm until I start to sweat or the perspiration from my breath dampens my clothes, scarf, etc, in that moment my warm gear becomes like an ice pack against my skin.I have tested this ski mask for a little longer than 3 weeks and it does not disappoint. The fur material in my storm trooper hat never gets wet from my sweat, and the wool ski mask doesn't suddenly turn into an ice pack when it absorbs my sweat. It feels nice on my skin and I plan to buy more in the future.

First experience with merino wool, impressive
Shopped around a little for balaclavas and have been wanting to try merino wool so at this price I said why not...When I felt how thin it was I was skeptical, but just tried it out in 35ยฐF and was pleasantly surprised at how warm it is; given that my stubble pokes through I am still skeptical about it being water/wind proof but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt since it was as warm as advertised; have a rainy day in the forecast will find out and update my review.Beyond that my only criticism is I wish it came in coyote brown. So I would really recommend it I'm very happy with the purchase and may order more as gifts even if they don't come out with different colors.Update - just tried it in the rain, I really thought they meant it would retain its warmth retention even when wet; but it is absolutely water resistant, the water just beaded on it. I'm sure if it gets soaked badly enough it'll come through but it is certainly resistant.PLEASE come out with coyote brown!

Good quality single layer, no itch Merino wool, great for layering.
I really love Merino wool for the warmth & breathability it provides, & that it can be worn in a fairly wide range of temperatures without becoming uncomfortable. Some things that I really like about wearing this item are:1) If put on properly, my body is completely covered from my nipple line (I'm a male) to the top of my head without it riding up or leaving any gaps for cold air to get in. The one I received ha square bottom of the skirt, which I like better than the pointed one in the picture.2) It's thin enough that I can wear it underneath a warm winter hat if the hat alone is not warm enough, or if not needed just pull the mask down around my neck, where it serves like a warm scarf.

It's like a t-shirt for your face
I like the size of this thing. It covers the entire neck and the center of your upper chest. However, I thought the material would be thicker. It's like having a light shirt for your face. It will help on a cold day for sure, but only so much.

Great for blocking wind
I wore this skiing today and the temperature was 11 ยฐF with 20-30mph winds with blizzard like conditions. I would not recommend this product if itโs snowing or if a ski resort is blowing snow because it gets very wet and cold. I would imagine if it was sunny and no rain or snow it would do very well bc it surprisingly blocks the wind really well.

Have to hide it from kids
This thing is first rate. Its not too heavy but its just great at keeping me warm. Its a little scratchy at first but you get used to it and after all it is wool, even if it is Merino wool.

Go-to wool
I have become a huge fan of Meriwool over the past year or so. Sorry to say this but there is nothing that compares to real natural fur/animal product when it comes to staying warm and dry. This mask holds up perfectly on the mountain, blocking wind, absorbing moisture and drying completely in just a few minutes. I paired this with the Meriwool light 190g longsleeve baselayer and it is a perfect combination for staying warm, light and maneuverable. I just picked up a couple of 100% merino golf polo's for this summer from another company - unfortunately Meriwool does not yet make polo's or t-shirts that I am aware of, but I hope they do soon!
