So much more quiet than so called quiet wheels. Larger and more comfortable for my hamster and gerbils than wheels of similar size. I keep the 11 inch wheel for my guys. All of them are adult Mongolian Gerbils and Syrian Hamsters. These are especially good for female Syrians. They are usually larger than their male counterparts. I feel that it is a more comfortable fit for my guys than the 8 inch wheel.
