Review: Just buy this with the toot, trust me - This in combination with the toot is the best pathway to going from 0 to hero. I use it with my students all the time. Their innovative head joint is such a game changer for younger players and even older players. It turns what I consider to be the most frustrating instrument into a simple 4 step process. I have the toot and the jflute conversion and it’s just great. Especially with how expensive flutes can be and how hard it is to find a good used flute that doesn’t need pad replacement, it’s just a no brainer. Buy both and thank me later
Review: Just buy it! - I haven’t picked up a flute since I was in marching band over ten years ago and this was the perfect way to get back into playing. The quality is amazing for being a plastic instrument. It feels very sturdy but it’s lightweight enough that I can hold it comfortably for hours. Which is good because you won’t want to put it down! The case is very nice and the little accessories work very well. The extra lip plate works very well not just for when you’re too lazy to have good posture but it helps when you want to quickly practice some fingerings without trying to make too much sound. The only con is they don’t explain how to remove the key cap extensions so be very careful. The A & G caps simply slide to the left and detach, DONT try to snap them off. And the G# extension has a little notch that locks it in place, simply lift the little arm on it and it’ll slide off. I tried to include a picture to show what I mean. Also it would be nice if they had included some extra black silicone caps because once you take off the extensions there’s nothing to cover the keys with. Overall I’m in love with this flute and would recommend it to everyone. P.S I also bought the upgrade kit which is why I showed the second lip plate on the straight head joint. Buying the kit saved me money vs buying the student flute upfront, so it’s like I got two instruments for less 👍🏼

**Q: Does the donut head joint separate easily from the body of the flute?**
A: Yes, and you can get the regular head joint for it to.

**Q: What is the purpose of the donut? Does it make it easier to play than a regular flute mouthpiece? Or is it to create a nicer sound?**

A: Thank you for your question!  Yes, the C foot joint from the jFlute 1.0 will fit on the jFlute 2.0 body.

**Q: Is there a similar piccolo?**
A: The Nuvo Toot is a one octave pre-flute instrument. It is designed to bridge the gap between recorder and flute. The Toot has a tone similar to a piccolo/fife but does not have the full range. It is a chromatic instrument however!

Great instrument. This flute is really awesome for young players with shorter arms. As the player gets bigger, you will want the straight headjoint as the donut makes it hard to hold with adult length arms. They sell a straight headjoint and C foot upgrade pack for when the young player is large enough. This is a phenomenal flute for the price. Highly recommend.
