ESV Illuminated Scripture Journal: Judges

These are so pretty, and I like having these one by one books so I can bring it with me easily. I write a ton of notes, so I love that there’s plenty of room for that! All my various scribblings are neatly hidden under the pretty cover! ESV scripture. Excellent.

I have ordered several of these for the Old Testament studies I have done. I have also ordered the full set of the New Testament. I live that every alternating page is blank for me to record thoughts or other scripture references or important things I have read in my research. I like the patterned cover. I usually take them a local staple/office max and have them spiral bound.

First, let me say that this is a beautiful book that is sized so I can throw it in my church bag for my Bible study of Judges. The verses are on one side and there is a notes page on the other. And that notes page is why I took a star off. They say the pages are “lightly dotted” and they aren’t kidding. The only way I can see the dots is to put it under a magnifying glass. That’s no good for note taking in my opinion. Might as well have just left the page blank. I was really hoping for more structure on the notes pages. I tried sliding a lined piece of paper underneath, but thanks to the thickness of the paper (which I appreciate) I am still unable to see the lines.

Love these journals! Super convenient to carry one book at a time and have space to write my devotion down.
