WOODRIVER #2 MT Pen Turning Mandrel

Great mandrel for turning wood to make ink pens. I bought two mandrels due to their high quality.

Works very well

Works well as the photos will attest. The mandrel maintains blanks securely while turning. The package also included several nylon spacers (in addition to the three steel spacers), whereby cyanoacrylate (CA) glue will not adhere. Made in Taiwan (not China).

Good product for the money and works well. I gave it 4 stars because nowhere in the description did it mention that this was a 6mm mandrill. I ordered it for a set of pens I wanted to make and had to pull and audible since what I needed for those specific pens is 7mm and this will not work for that. In any case I am keeping this for my slimmes pens with narrower sleeves a d have now ordered a 7mm for the ones I wanted to make on the first place.

Have made a few pens using this mandrel and it works as expected. I use it with a mandrel saver instead of using the brass nut on the end but the nut would work fine too.

I have held off reviewing this item until I used it. Well. I used it today to make my first slim line per. It came out perfect, and the mandrel work flawlessly. I would recommend it to anyone that wants to stare turning pens.

Thought it would work for my Small Shop Fox lathe. DOES NOT WORK FOR SHOP FOX MINI LATHE.

Very true and easy to use, made a long wood spacer so I can use it to make rings, works awesome.
