YakGear SMR, Manta Ray Deluxe Seat, Fits Sit On Top or Sit Inside Kayaks and Canoes

Used it to replace the uncomfortable seat it my first kayak because it was causing back pain, the new seat was awesome because it gave me a lot more support. Helped a lot even though i only hooked it up temporarily since i haven't had time for a permanent job.

I purchased this for my wife’s kayak and it has held up real well. I’ll probably buy one for me this year. It provides support and is very comfortable.

I purchased this seat to install in a 1993 Betsie Bay Manitou kayak. This is a greenland style kayak and has a shallow, narrow cockpit. I am planning a 1200 mile kayak trip so I need a comfortable seat. This one fits the bill. The adjustable straps and brass clips make it super adaptable to different cockpits. I am looking forward to sitting in this seat for my jojrney this summer.

Its way better than what came with my kayak, thats for sure! Total back support! My narrow butt has never been happier! Cant find this any cheaper than $100. Wish it didnt cost so much, but then again, i guess nothing is too costly for your back comfort!?

We returned this seat because we ended up getting a kayak that came with seats and those seats screw into the kayak (Liquid Logic Deuce Coupe). We're glad we did, because we could tell we would have been constantly dealing with the seats flopping around. The seats are quality, but since they're not secured to the kayak they would move around while sitting and while traveling...another hassle.

I spend a lot of time in kayaks during the summer and fall, both for fishing and for sightseeing/relaxation. As a result, I've tried out a LOT of different kayak seats in the quest for one that provides the comfort and support necessary to enjoy a day on the water. This seat from YakGear is not the very best I've had, but it definitely ranks in the top 5. It has a segmented seat cushion, which allows the seat to better alleviate pressure points. The seatback is high enough to lean into for support, and provides needed relief when you've been sitting for an extended period. Definitely worth the price, and worthy of consideration if you intend to kayak for more than an hour at a time.

Really well made, well padded. Would have been great but i had to return it....bummer. it did not fit in my husbands kayak (ocean kayak) I read the reviews and people said it would fit, it would not without drilling holes...which we did not want to do. Too bad! It is a really nice seat.

Appears to be a comfortable seat but plastic clip that holds seat in place broke first time I took out the kayak.
