Huge!!
These stands are awesome! Much much bigger than I thought. Although parts of it are plastic, they are plenty sturdy for the average PA speakers. One thing I didn't know is the main shaft is reversible so one end accommodates a larger hole in other speakers. These are absolutely fantastic value for the money. You will not regret this purchase. Great product! Perfect for my Fender Passport 500!

Large and sturdy
i wanted good quality speaker stands, and these ones meet that demand with ease. I am sure the stands said how big they are, but they were much bigger than i expected when they arrived. Some of you many not require stands this big, i could have used smaller ones. But for the $100, they are very strong and very sturdy.

These are great, very sturdy, high quality
I'm very happy with these fender stands. Other musicians have commented too on their quality. Easy to assemble, not too heavy, clips are made of high quality material. These are built to last! Im so happy I have the fender bag too. They barely fit in it length wise though, takes some time cramming them in. Would be nice if the bag was 1 or 2 inches longer.

Both arrived bent beyond repair.
These both arrived bent beyond repair. I went on people's reviews, they did seem to have been bent in the original shipment to the business I bought them from but they should have seen that they were packing a bent box inside of a newer unbent box.

Okay Speaker Stands - Knobs broke with light use
Update: After a few years of light use, knobs on both of the stands broke. When I contacted Fender, they told me the stands were out of warranty (which I knew). I asked about purchasing the knobs outright and they told me they didn't see the knobs separately. This is a lie, as I later found an online music equipment retailer with the knobs in stock for less than $15 (for a pair).Fender... I've always loved your products, but this time both your equipment AND your customer service failed me. As such, I am reducing my rating to 3 stars. If you need replacement knobs, Google search for "Fender Height Adjuster Knob for ST-275 and ST-280 Speaker Stands" and you'll find the product you are looking for. The item will say "two pieces" that means the knob and a nut for the back. The Fender part number is FE0057555049.Additionally, if you need the silver pins, search for "Fender st-275 pin". The Fender part number is FE0062610000------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I purchased these to go with a Fender Passport Pro system. Of note, these are in the Fender Pro line as well.Short Review: Amazing at a great price. Shortest setting is about 4.5 ft.Pros:- Very lightweight (about 15 pounds for the pair)- Very sturdy (rubberized caps on feet)- Universal pole (can be flipped over for a larger diameter)- Very steady- Easy to use- I absolutely LOVE the gear bag. It's oversized in diameter so I can fit my cords (and some other road gear) into it easily! It has a divider so the stands don't bang against each other during travel and get damaged- Price (you get a matched pair of great stands AND a nylon gear bag)Cons:- The base is very wide, but this gives it more stability- Approximately 52-54 inches collapsed with shortest setting about 5 ft off the ground, though that is actually ideal for most usesI'm really happy with this purchase. Bottom line... If you need speaker stands, get these.

Heavy duty!
Very durable, heavy-duty stands. Our Fender speakers are small compared to these stands-- no problem supporting them safely. The stands could really hold some very heavy speakers. Also they come with a nice nylon carrying bag. The bag looks attractive so I am hoping no one steals the whole thing.

They are easy to set up and take down
They are easy to set up and take down. They give the speakers plenty of height and remain stable. The speaker has to be lifted over and slid down on top of the pole, but unfortunately, there is no way to attach them or secure them to the stand. I do not have much concern with the speakers falling since it does allow them to spin and again, they have to be lifted up off the pole to be removed.

Our first choice in speaker stands
Light weight, portable strong and attractive. These are the speaker stand attributes needed for portable sound reinforcement, and the attributes of these stands. We have used them for everything from rock bands to bluegrass, corporate events and fundraisers, and birthday parties. We bought our first set in 1999 and they are our go-to stands.

Prompt Delivery
Did not anticipate the large footprint when legs fully extended. Gig bag seems solid and will need to be as the stands are taller than expected when folded. Hope they're well constructed . What is really odd is these are sold as companions to the Passport and the speaker does fit securely on the post; it can completely spin around and it rocks (as in unsteady on the post); turning the whole post upside down results in the post being too big to fit into the speaker hole. This seems ridiculous! So, a solid tape around the specifically designed and compatible post stands to fit snugly into the speaker hole. Nice coordination of products!

A bit of overkill for Fender Passport
I returned these because they are much too large for our jam space, they take up a lot of room, and the post is smaller than the speaker holes, so would need to be taped up for a sturdy fit. I don't think these are made specifically for the Fender Passport, or it would fit properly, wouldn't it?
